We went on 14th April. I did a reservation beforehand as it was Pahela Baishakh that day but normally any reservation is not required.
As for their food, they had 3 iftar platters for Ramadan. Initially I thought that we could choose any one from those three but later came to know that each one of them was available for each day. So, on Friday, The Lemon and Garlic Chicken platter was available.
The platter consisted of Lemon chicken steak, chicken croquette, mashed potato, mushroom, fruits, momo, pineapple mocktail, firni and salad.
First of all, the chicken steak was underseasoned, was a bit too hard to cut or bite through. Would've been more better if it was a little more tender. Now, considering the crowd, they had a huge workload at that time. I hope that this was a one time thing only. Chicken croquette was good enough and it went along pretty well, with the sauce they provided. Mashed potato's texture was perfect. Only, it's just my personal opinion that it was a bit underseasoned too. Mushrooms were overseasoned! Pretty straight on this. The momo was good too, only their chilli oil was a bit too salty than usual. Pineapple cocktail was just sprite served inside a pineapple. Not bad as the pineapple added a little tanginess into the sprite. But, the quantity disappointed me. Salad was quite good. Just how a salad should be! : Firni was too sweet. I don't know if it's me but it was really too sweet, would've been better if it was a little less sweeter.
The ambience-ness and atmosphere is amazing. Maybe they need to re-adjust their ligting a bit as it seems darker when it's evening time. Apart from that, no objections!
Their service was quite good considering they were having a busy-hour with a lot of crowd. Still, they delivered the foods in time and behaved very well.
At last, this was my third time in Ajo, but this time I was left dissatisfied with their food. I expected better from ajo as I've loved their food before. I thought their iftar platter was a pretty good deal but still was disappointed later in :(
Hope they'll work out on this and do better...

Read moreI was in Uttara for a photoshoot with my friends and after the shoot, we decided to have lunch. The day before I saw this place and we all agreed that we would go there. The restaurant itself was pretty huge and open. The environment is mesmerizing and the staff was well behaved. Certainly a great place for hangouts with friends. After some time we ordered our food.
Roasted Garlic Beef was served with sautéed vegetables, beef, and garlic fried rice. There were options for both rice and mashed potatoes. In the beef, there were scatters of cheese which gave the curry sour flavor. The beef itself was pretty soft and very easy to chew. The lemon and garlic flavor was very noticeable in both beef and fried rice. The sautéed vegetables could have been better.
Lemon & Garlic Chicken was served with sautéed vegetables, 1/4 of a chicken, and mashed potatoes. On the menu, there were also options for both rice and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were creamy but needed to be more mashed. In the sautéed vegetables I liked the carrots and mushrooms. But I thought the items would have benefited if it was boiled a bit more. I absolutely loved the chicken. It was soft, chewy, had incredible lemon flavor in it and the gravy helped it even more. Overall it was a nice experience for me. If I ever visit Uttara again, I would love to go there to try some of their...
