Food is not at that level according to price and place. Iftar buffet is 1650 per person but there are always questions about maintaining and holding quality. They can’t. They provide a boxed food item Iftar pre placed at every table which is mixed with regular below standard foods. They forbid people to touch buffets before Iftar. After eating the pre placed boxed item for ending the holy fast they allow to start the buffet . What a misery. When every customer approaches for food at a time there are crowds and they create such environment. They also provide 2 types of drinks available at every table. Why? People come to eat food according to their choice at buffet which are displayed. You know nothing about any one’s personal choice and push people to eat food according to your preferences. This is one kind of wasting food and applying your personal choice into customers. It’s Iftar. Holy fast. Open buffet before Iftar so that customers can pick their favourite items easily without making crowd and eat those during Iftar. Service is regular. Tables placement are ok. Decoration is also ok. Washroom facility is regular. Booking 50% money before arrival may be ok but in the year of 2025 people are making bonding with customers with different facilities . In that context customers may feel disappointed . They can provide tea or coffee. They said that they can serve one time coffee but they didn’t. At a glance it was a regular experience ,not a special one that can be...
Read moreI've been to G n G JFP before but this is the first time I went to this brunch. G n G was one of the top tier mid level buffets back in 2018/19. But nowadays, there are many options and they provide almost a similar menu at a cheaper price or give more items (tasty also) at the same price.
Coming to their buffet, they provide 40+ items in 1599+ tk (afaik). Main course items are comparatively less in numbers. Their star item is Fried /Grilled Dory with lemon sauce. It's a must try item. They’ve a good prawn item. Sizuan prawn had some extra salt in it. The duck curry was average. King Pao Chicken is another must try item. Really tastes well. The other items are okay. Live kitchen surves momo, fuchka and velpuri. We tried fuchka and it was good. Other items were okay.
They've a good bunch of dessert. Shahi tukra, Malai Cake, Firni, Gulab Jamoon — all tasted well. Their faluda seemed normal to me. Didn’t try the cake / pastry /sushi item. So, can't tell about that.
Pros: they've a good reputation. And, so, they refill well. Some cheap buffet doesn’t refill well.
Cons: Item number is comparatively smaller. When beef is cooked on main dish, mutton is...
Read moreWe tried their Ramadan buffet. Priced at 1099+ VAT, in terms of quantity they offer a numbers of dishes. Most of the meat items are chicken with 2 beef dish one beef bhuna and a tehari. I liked their plain rice polao. Chicken dishes are average. Beef nehari is the best dish I tested today. I forgot to mention they offer a simple iftar platter before you dig into buffet. Cozy environment and nice interior. Desserts items are not that much tasty. However building lack basic amenities. Only 2 lift of the building is not adequate to support large crowd. There was a long line of people outside the building waiting to get the lift so we took stairs. This building is very new but if you take stairs you will be disappointed. From 1st floor to 7th floor staircase is full of dirt and garbage. Most restaurants in this building use the staircase as their...
