Rustic Eatery — Restaurant in Dhaka Metropolitan

As the name suggests the place has a rustic, dilapidated vibe to it. But in an aesthetic way. The ambiance is nice. The lighting and setup gives you a cosy feel.

The food here is probably the best amongst other restaurants in dhanmondi. Their most popular item cream of mushroom soup was quite tasty. But it can be a little overwhelming on the heavy side. So, It would be better to be cautious to order other items after ordering this, in case you are worried about wasting food.

The katsu and fries were really good. Tender and juicy chicken with crispy panko coating. Served with a small portion of thick cut fries and a honey mustard sauce. The amount of sauce provided wasn't ample, and you need to pay extra if you want more sauce, which seemed kind of off putting. We also asked for the free 'rustic sauce', but that wasn't available either. It was a little bit disappointing to be honest.

Also, wanted to order the rustic drums but they said it would take 25-30 minutes to make it. I was a bit short on time. So didn't order it ultimately. Keep this in mind when you ask for the rustic drums here.

Overall the food was really good. The staff were friendly, but service could have been better. And they can go easy on the sauce atleast, if they want. Either provide the option of unlimited sauce, or give enough sauce to begin with so that the customers don't need to ask for more in the first place.

The whole menu was a bit on the expensive side. But the good food makes up for that. 10% vat is applicable on the whole menu.

I will definitely go back to try their rustic drums, buffalo wings, garlic calamari and other items that I couldn't try this...

When I first visited their restaurant, I tried their half a Chicken and the most embarrassing part was they provided us the rotten chicken. I ordered 5 chicken and every one of them were rotten. There was a rotten smell, we couldn't even take a second bite. It was really disappointing and disgusting.

After a while, I tried their Half a chicken again few days back. Their chicken was burnt and the sauce or cream they provided on top of the chicken was not go with the chicken (in my opinion). It does not taste good. And fortunately, the chicken wasn't atleast rotten this time. It was a big improvement. Though the chicken was tender but not a single flavours were their. It was really bland.

The cream of chicken was average. If I compare this with the pinewood's one, pinewood's one is far better. There were no enough chicken in the soup and the chicken were so mushy. The soup does taste good not gonna lie.

The beef carnival was really good. I taste the the beef precisely. It was really flavourful. I like how they cooked the beef with these ingredients. The mushroom and the veggies were good too. the Mexican rice was the only thing which is not good. There was no flavours on the rice, no mexicanese flavours were their not even fried rice flavours were their. It was bland and definitely not fresh.

I am giving a 3 star review only because of the Beef Carnival. It was a great dish by them (except the rice). I really hope they are gonna try to do...

I visited Rustic Eatery Dhanmondi branch.But it was very disappointing experience. We went for dinner but they couldn’t avail us all the items we wanted for🙍‍♀️So we ordered :

1.Cream of mushroom :sorry to say but there was no creamy flavour rather I felt like I was eating celeriac or shuji,even didnt get any garlic flavour. Amount was enough for 2 persons.

2.Katsu and fries:Chicken was super dry and hard.It was too salty to have in.Even the mayo was nothing but a great amount of tomato sauce mixed with.

3.Prawn fries:It was average. Size of prawn was perfect but further same mayo🙏

3.Crab spaghetti :This was the worst.I couldn't take more than one bite even.No flavour of crab,too much salt,vorta noodles with some flavorless white sauce🙍‍♀We informed them soon.It was good that they cancelled the order immediately.

4.Lemon butter fish:It was also too much salty.Rice felt like "sheddho bhaat with some sauce". We told them so they changed that. But again it felt like they just used extra lemon juice to lessen the amount of salt.So it turned out to an awkward taste.

Definitely won't visit it again cause money buys experience 🙏(কোক আর পানি টা মজা ছিলো,সরি স্প্রাইট!!কোক ও ছিলো না।)
