Got a Tonno Pizza, tought the price was 14, which felt a lot, but looked liek a good place....wel lthat price was old and it was 18 now. so the implications for a nearly 20 euro pizza thats regular size is isnane high as it is, as wel las on the other side i make handmade pizzas myselrf and frakly not one place came lose to mine in wuality so far. well it was..okay? which for 18 is NOT good. the tuna is good quality id say but saying its better than 40 cents woth of canned fish wont justify the price. ALso a red flag was they tried hard to advertise their "real imported oven" well its...bricks. you dont have to import bricks to make a noven, anyone can make it. (i hont even have any yet mine is way ahead anyways) also had a tomato sauce that tasted liek those cheap canned premade tomato pastes, so very acidic and not much flavour. SO money wise its a bad deal, and on a regular pizza scale its disappointing at best as well.
Aftertought: also the "shelflife" of this pizza is worse than mine, its not very good after a day. (compared to others)
In my country i ran a foodcritic website after got enough of the slop, but looks liek i have to bring it back in here as well. (tough the pathetic amount of fresh and good ingredients in any of the stores are baffling so very hard for me to cook anything good...
Read moreI'd give this place 5 stars easily if it was to be based on the deliciousness of the pizza's only. They are amongst the best I ate, and we have been at this place a few times. So, it wasn't just a lucky shot. The place also looks nice, great location, nice terras to sit outside. So .. we can easily say this place a good choice. Where it loses 1 star for me? The price : not only are these amongst the best pizza's you'll find, unfortunately I don't know any other place where they are as expensive and that's a bit of a shame since we all know good pizza's aren't supposed to be expensive. But hey, who cares? This place is packed every day, so why should they not charge if customers are happy to pay the buck? This brings me to another point of attention : since the place is so good, it is always crowded and thus the waiting time can be somewhat of a stretch. Conclusion : If you're not in a hurry and you are looking for delicious and refined pizza, this is THE...
Read moreBellini's owner and staff are originally from Italy and interestingly, they have a wood oven from Naples, Italy and pizzas are baked at 480 degrees. The restaurant is so cozy and small so make a reservation beforehand otherwise you should queue in front of the door. While the menu is not so diverse in term of dessert and starter but it has enough options as the main dish even for vegetarians. In spite the fact that the restaurant was small and the tables were so close to each other but the atmosphere is so lovely. The staff were so fast and polite but they could not speak English and also they did not split the bill for us. There is no space for parking car nearby especially at weekends but it is located in a really nice neighborhood full of small palaces with renaissance architecture so you would definitely enjoy walking to your car. So If you are looking for an authentic pizza in Antwerp, I highly...
