We stumbled into this lovely little place when were searching for some Lebanese/Middle Eastern food around the area. We had no expectations but we loved everything about our experience there. It seems that they already exit for more than 3 years, but we had no clue. The ambient is very cool and warm and the food delicious. The staff is super friendly. Even though it was evening and they serve Labneh only at brunch the waiter said it was no problem so I could satify my craving. The portions are not big but we each ordered a main and we split an entre and we had enough. The flavours were amazing. Thank you!
Update post the renovation: I was really looking forward to going back after the renovation. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, but they reduced the menu considerably and took out some of the dishes I really loved which was a big disappintment. We ordered almost everything from the menu (almost all of it vegetarian) and my thoughts are the following. Entrees were really delicious, although too few options (again bring back some of the favourites), the pizza style middle dishes were not nice, they're vegetarian and lacked taste (could get rid of them in my opinion) and the mains were good but not wow. We had a good meal, I won't complain, but it was not cheap for the portions we received and to be honest having ordered almost everything I'm not really keen on coming back as I have nothing new to try. Overall I'm a bit sad as I was really looking forward to the...
Read moreWas really excited to visit the place and as the time passed by this excitement brought my overall experience to 1 star.
Ordered manaeesh (typical Lebanese street food). Asked it to be served as a folded flatbread, insisted 3 times on that when ordering. In the end the waiter brought it cut into 8 pieces like it’s was a pizza. My initial comment was totally ignored. Moreover, the amount of zaatar on manoushe was not generous. Portions are extremely small — moutabbal and hummus plates literally represent one huge table spoon of the dip which can barely serve one person. And you have to ask for bread to be served (deep fried bread was served on demand). Lebanese dips should normally come with traditional bread by default. Tabboule salad tasted like leftover salad, no freshness at all. Not to mention the added cucumber and feta-like cheese on top (why would you do that?!), which tabbole should not include. The final bill was counted incorrectly and we had to point in to the waiter.
Very disappointed with this co-called Lebanese food however the first impression was...

Felfel, which translates to sweet peppers in Moroccan, is a delightful culinary spot in Antwerp. What makes Felfel stand out is their dedication to using seasonal products, ensuring that every dish is homemade with love. The cuisine is a harmonious blend of Moroccan, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern flavors, with a touch of Asian influence that adds an exciting twist.
During our visit, we indulged in the shakshuka and fried halloumi, both of which were incredibly delicious. The shakshuka was rich and flavorful, while the fried halloumi was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
The service at Felfel is exceptional, with a friendly and attentive staff that makes you feel right at home. The restaurant's ambiance is equally impressive, featuring a Middle Eastern, eclectic, and amazing interior that enhances the overall dining experience.
In summary, Felfel is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a unique and flavorful culinary adventure in Antwerp. Highly...
