We used to be regulars! But the service and quality of food went downhill very fast.
Service hasn't been the fastest from the start. But they haven't improved over time, rather it got even worse. Last time we visited it took over an hour for us to be served. They kept forgetting parts of our order, kept forgetting to bring drinks, .. service was all over the place and it wasn't even busy! People arriving after us were finished eating by the time we got our drinks.
Usually it was the food that saved the day, but this time it wasn't up to standard. I had the hearty pancakes which were ... a whole new level of hearty. I could only taste the (massive amounts of) salt, couldn't even finish it. My partners huevos rancheros on the other hand tasted like nothing. Obviously i needed that drink, which they kept forgetting.
We ended up paying for the food, leaving without having had our drinks. Taking over 40 minutes to bring some lemonades - not even making tea or coffee, just literally getting 2 bottles out of the fridge - is unacceptable, especially after being reminded twice.
Hopefully they will get their act together soon, i miss their...
Read moreI have never written a google review, but this experience was so disappointing i feel compelled to pick up this new hobby in order to save someone else from the lacklustre brunch that i was just subjected to. Totalling to a whopping 40 euros for two bland plates of food and below average coffees left a horrible taste in my mouth on this sunday morning. I will give them the benefit of the doubt for their poor service, as I ate here at 11am on a sunday, but that is all they get. The waiter was chilly and made us feel like apologizing for asking for accommodations to our meal. Eggs were served cold and underspiced. Please, people if the internet. Save your money. Eat at home. This is not worth the feeling of distain when walking away from tapping your card to spend your hard earned wages on an experience that could have been swapped out for ordering sunday night sushi. I will give them credit for speed and handling the hustle of a sunday morning, but that’s all they...
Read moreNice food but our group was charged a 15€ no show fee for one of the girls that couldn’t make it last minute. We reserved for 6 for a birthday lunch and did no intentionally end up with 5, and the fee was in the middle of the bill and we were not told about it when we paid and only noticed after. I understand the need for a minimum booking requirement but penalising a group for the cost of a meal when it was uncontrollable is very unfair and unheard of.
We would have preferred the option to take away her meal if we were told we had to pay for it.
So if your reserve for a group beware of the hidden cost if anyone can’t make it. I think the restaurant is trying to make a point to the wrong people. Because of this I won’t return in future.
Bardin down the street is a very nice option for lunch and they don’t have a problem with reservations! I can...
