La Lanterna — Restaurant in Antwerp

Food was okay; pasta sauce was delicious but the meatballs weren't great and partner wasn't thrilled with his pizza. Low review though is mainly because of poor service and mistakes; they didn't seem to know their own menu (had to repeat our order 3 times), got our order wrong at first, and took forever to give us the bill. We asked for it and were sat waiting for 10-15 minutes while they seemingly forgot about us (we were sat outside and could see them cleaning tables inside). The restaurant serves decent pasta and a huge variety of dishes (the menu looks quite hilarious with pictures). We ordered garlic bread with cheese, appetizer and pastas with meatballs and seafood. The seafood are good: big prawns and sole fish are very tasty and delicious (especially the sole and butter sauce). The staffs are friendly, however they are usually in a rush so they might appear a bit cold and they forget drink orders (we had to repeat our drink order). When the weather is nice, the terrace outside is quickly filled with family groups...

BE CAREFUL: When the waiter asks you whether you want a limoncello/amaretto or something, after you've asked for the check, they are NOT on the house as you would expect. Instead, you pay a cool 7€ per glass for a little bit of limoncello. Very sneaky.
