Orymaz — Restaurant in Antwerp

We ate outside on a mild night so the atmosphere was pleasant. The staff were too, except a little too attentive. We both had duck, which was a shame perhaps, as both the orange duck and the Peking were underwhelming. Especially for this price. In both cases the duck was dry and overcooked. The Peking duck had not enough pancakes or green fillings for the meat. The hoisin source was only that (from a jar?). This would not have been good at half the price, or any...

Absolutely delicious and authentic Pekin duck - I really recommend it! That was the only dish I tried. They also offer spicy chips as apetizer, which is really nice while you’re waiting for your food. Sweet and welcoming staff, nice ambiance at the restaurant, and great location right in front of MAS. Can’t wait to come back and try...

Ten eerste was de service super vriendelijk. Deze plaats is een familiebedrijf en de obers, vooral de moeder, waren zeer attent. :)

Vervolgens is het interieur prachtig! Lichte kleuren, heel tof meubilair. Het heeft een zeer ontspannen sfeer met een aantal subtiele en smaakvolle Japanse en Chinese accenten.

Dan! Het eten was geweldig! Ze houden zich aan een beperkt menu, maar elk gerecht is uitstekend. We bestelden het suggestiemenu en werden weggeblazen met elke cursus. De loempia's en dim sum waren perfect, de scampi-peking eend gerecht was perfect mals en had heerlijke saus en leuke, knapperige groenten. Het dessert was een witte chocoladepudding met aardbeien en vanille-ijs, ook erg goed.

Over het algemeen was het geweldig. Als je zin hebt in een goede pekingeend, loempia's of dim sum, ga dan eens wat echte, kwalitatieve Aziatische gerechten...
