Kato has been one of our favorite spots since it first opened, and it never disappoints. Over the years, the restaurant has made significant improvements to its interior, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that feels perfect for enjoying their exceptional cuisine.

This charming, small restaurant is run by a talented Japanese couple, and their dedication to quality and authenticity truly shines through in every dish.

The Food: The food is simply amazing. Every dish we tried was a delight, but a few stood out as absolute favorites: • Oysters: These are pure perfection. The blend of flavors with the yuzu, combined with the slightly crispy texture of the oyster (which is not fully cooked), creates a taste that feels like heaven. • Aburi Toro Nigiri: The grilled tuna sushi is a must-try. The rich, buttery flavor of the toro paired with the perfect sear is unforgettable. • Negi Toro Maki: Another favorite that never fails to impress. • Ankimo (if available): If you’re lucky enough to find this on the menu, don’t miss it. It’s simply divine!

Been here twice already. Great and simple sushi restaurant. Very fresh fish. Amazing wagyu! No weird Westernized rolls. Just classic, authentic Japanese goodness! I do recommend letting the fish get up to room temperature for the best experience.

The Japanese couple's service is very friendly. The restaurant is cute and simple, nothing fancy and over the top. Cozy vibes.

It felt like a very authentic experience. The food was incredible, had a lot of dishes I never had before. The fish was of excellent quality, very fresh and they were definitely generous with the amount of fish on the sushi 🍣 the lady owner is very friendly.
