Run as fast as you can from this place, total disaster!

When we were sat down in the restaurant, I checked the reviews and my instinct told me to find another place, how I wish now I have it done! Total tourist trap with ZERO INTEREST OF THE STAFF IN THE GUESTS.

Our experience in the nutshell:

when sitting at the terrace and asked for the menu, we have been told off that eating on the terrace is not possible - what a surprise - when we left, there were people eating at OUR TABLE we intended to have after coming inside, we waited 15 more minutes for another waiter food came after 15 minutes, drinks after 30 minutes - really? pasta carbonara - cheap spaghetti from supermarket, tasteless white sauce, cheap bacon and MUSHROOMS? burger from Angus steak - thickness barely 1 centimeter and extremely small for what you paid for fish and chips - mamma mia... cheap white fish so dry it was barely able to swallow.. thanks god my beer came after 30 minutes

the restaurant is dirty inside - belgian fries on the floor, dirty napkins under the table...

paying the billl? Standing at the bar for 5 minutes after we said we want to pay - the waitresses were BUSY with cleaning tables even though were aware we are waiting there...

this was the first time ever I didnt pay ANY TIP AT ALL. When we left, nobody from 4 people on duty was even interested to say goodbye...

This is my first review like this and I really hope the last. With service and attitude like this you should be OUT OF BUSINESS for a very long time. Just feel sorry we spent our 74€ here and not somewhere better place.... Please, go to neighbour, eat fries at the market, just do...

The server seemed liked we were bothering her, asking rudely "what do you want" when she came over to take our orders. We then waited over an hour for our food (1 croque, 1 sandwich, and 2 burgers), and we would have waited longer if one of us didn't finally manage to find the server and ask about it. The slow service wasn't because it was very busy, all the tables around us, including a table of 8, got their food, paid and left before we got ours even though they arrived after us. The food itself was very pricey and not good for what we paid. One of my friend mentioned being vegetarian and the server didn't notify her that the plate she ordered contained eggs, they also seem to use frozen patties for the bugers which makes the 20€ dish very disappointing. After eating we had to go after the server once again to get our bill because she was clearly ignoring us. Avoid that place, instead go to any other restaurant around. If we had known we would even have settled for McDonald's it would have been a lot...

We went in for brunch one Sunday after church and this restaurant is well worth a try. The prices are reasonable considering the location and the quality of the food means that this is definitely not a tourist trap.

A little bit of trivia; the menu is very much Belgian themed but we asked the staff and they told us that the owner was a long-time Nepali resident of Belgium, so hats off to them for putting together what is an all-round impressive...
