When I first walked into this place, it was clear to me that somebody thought this through.
With an industrial, minimalistic , brutalistic interior, this place feels like the future, while also giving me some modernistic 1950s vibes. (There was also a post WWII - soft jazz playlist running through the speakers, which definitely helped the allround feel of the place). Room for seating: not too much though.
When ordering food, you just step over to the digital screen, where you choose between some burgers (with the option of french fries), and a small range of drinks. This system works very efficient, as you see your order number appear on a screen. The staff will give you a heads up when the food is ready. I ordered the classic burger -as I usually do when visiting a new place- and I liked it. (It came after a couple minutes: quick service). It had all the essentials and tasted great. The burger came in a paper wrapper -which I personally think is redundant when eating in- but sure, it adds up to the fastfood-vibe. It may have caused the bottom bun to get a little wet, though. Also, burger was very leaky, which means it was also very juicy (- burgerjuice and sauce). This happens all the time when eating smash burgers at any place, but it’s something they could maybe work on, I guess.
The service was good, because other than just being friendly and giving you a heads up when your food is ready, there was none, really. And I liked that, it’s efficient.
This place is surely something worth checking out, if you’re into (good)smashburgers/cool interiors/socializing (because oh yeah, you sit next to random people if the place is packed)...
Read moreTap Out Antwerp is a cool spot with a stylish and inviting interior. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, making it a great place to grab a burger. The burgers themselves are of excellent quality—juicy, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor. The combinations feel well thought out, striking the right balance between classic and creative.
However, the waiting times can be quite long, especially during peak hours, so patience is required. Additionally, the seating is somewhat limited, which can make it tricky to find a comfortable spot to enjoy your meal. Despite these minor drawbacks, Tap Out remains a solid choice for burger lovers looking for quality and...
Read moreThis is my fourth time and it’s the same every time. Burger is great. Fries are so bad and for the price, in Belgium, feels like I’m being robbed - they tasted like raw potato.
Their food production process is wildly inefficient. Waited 30+ minutes for a simple cheese burger and shitty fries.
You can see them work and they’re all taking their time, super chill - I timed that there was nothing grilling for 4 minutes, while they slowly cleaned the grill and chatted.
They’re lucky it tastes good, the burger at least. Everything else is not up to par.
Plump winning overall - check them out, just...
