FOR TOURISTS, Keepping it short: you have to order as many dishes as the headcount, otherwise the waiter will “kick you out”(their own word), and says you shouldn’t come in if you can’t afford it. Similar situation happens to other people, read the low stars comments. The waiter responds six times to this comment because the restaurant is so empty, no business, and he has nothing to do.
Original comment: Plenty of free tables inside, not much people eating here. We have five people with an infant (sleeping). We ordered four drinks, and super hot tea, the waiter comes and tells us we have to leave within 5 mins and brought immediately the receipt because only one of the adults wants to order food. We said we understand that we will have to leave if not everyone orders food, at least let us finish the drinks? The waiter said, No! You have to go now! Couldn’t even take a sip of the tea because the water is still super hot. Super rude, even forbid us to use the toilet in the restaurant. Not recommended. Paid but it’s like a joke. Worst experience ever treated!
Edited again because the owner is telling lies. We are polite people unlike him, we ordered just drinks, we are not three years old kids so not possible to dirty two of your table cloths in such a short time. We literally just sat down. We said we understand that you don’t want to serve us, and we will leave. But you couldn’t keep your mouth shut and keep talking in a rudely way, while all the time we agreed that we will leave. You have such a bad attitude if so you shouldn’t even bother to open a restaurant. And of course you are just a waiter so shouldn’t expect you to know how to behave.
Same recommendation for you, learn some manners and get educated!
Edited again because the owner is obviously out of his mind. The waiter says that the gentleman wants to order a salad and we “we” asked for five plates to share it!!! Hahaha it’s so ridiculous! I can’t stop laughing because of his imagination making this stupid and unrealistic story. Also, owner claims 6 people going to the toilet in turns is not true, they had just one available toilet and we barely sat down, there wasn’t time for doing that. Because I do not want the owner’s wonderful comments to be deleted, I have made screenshots and i will place them here. Visitors, be wise and read other low stars comments too, so you know well what kind of place this is. :))
Do not eat here because you will receive endless attacks from the waiter (or owner of this small restaurant whatever) because he has been completely defeated LOL! Start making up further unrealistic scenarios and funny stories. Just get educated instead of making up stuff about the customers. :) Otherwise, this is the end of your business, nobody wants to eat here and listen to your blablabla! Good luck to shut down your mini restaurant soon! I’m sorry for breaking your heart, oh.. actually I’m not sorry! Hehe so much fun seeing your replies.
Salty owner replying again! Since, education clearly lacked in his life, all he can say is “you are low budget”, “stick to your level”, “know your place “. I can spend a few hundreds somewhere else where it is worth it, and yours little bistro doesn't have the quality food, environment, or the service that worth the price. Stop responding, stop being grumpy. Calm down.
Owner thinks the true comment is “mean”, while I would say it’s realistic. I don’t like to enter into an argument and embarrass each other in the public, we clearly hold different opinions on this, though not hard to understand as you’re uneducated. Being’s loud and argumentative in the public will bother the other people, please don’t do this, this is the only one thing you can learn. Therefore, I’m simply leaving a real comment as it is, that’s what happened. I'm just a visitor to the city, so there's no question that I can afford to spend a few hundred euros; that doesn't even cover the cost of my ticket and hotels. Don’t worry about that. And yes, we are on different levels, you are on the low side, which explains...

Read more⭐ STAY AWAY! Discriminatory Service RUINED My Perfect Day in Bruges! As an Asian tourist, I thought sampling Belgium's classic mussels at this so-called "renowned" restaurant would be the highlight of my Bruges trip. Instead, I was met with UNBELIEVABLY discriminatory treatment! When I entered the restaurant, the waiter FLAT OUT REFUSED to serve me with the RIDICULOUS excuse that "we don't accommodate single diners"! This is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD! Solo travel is now a globally popular way to explore the world, and this restaurant's practice is not just outdated but a BLATANT INSULT to all independent travelers! I have to ask: would I have received the same treatment if I weren't Asian? This strongly makes me suspect RACIAL DISCRIMINATION! Such behavior is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE in Europe in 2025! It's ASTOUNDING that a single restaurant can instantly destroy a tourist's beautiful impression of an entire city. I STRONGLY advise all travelers, especially Asian visitors and solo travelers, to AVOID this arrogant and disrespectful establishment! Bruges has many other restaurants worth visiting - don't waste your time and money at a place that shows ZERO respect for customers! This discriminatory behavior should be SERIOUSLY investigated by tourism...
