Manhattn's Burgers — Restaurant in Bruges

SCAMMERS. Still waiting to get my money back.

I came here for the chicken nuggets and after charging me for them and waiting to get them, they told me they didn't have any. They never did, Never received them in the morning (they still charged me for them even though they should have checked their inventory first, but whatever).

Since I paid with card, they couldn't reimburse me (never seen this before, usually they just charge back and I put the card there and problem solved). They tried to convince me to order something else because they couldn't give me my money back (again, never seen this before).

The lady talked to their manager and apparently nothing could be done (???) and I had to put my bank details, phone number and everything to get a refund in 3 days. Of course I was on a trip, I wasn't going to be there to claim them.

More than 3 days have passed and of course I still don't have the money. I can't believe all this hussle for 7,90€, how hard can it be? how are you not updated with current times?

I have never felt more powerless and scammed in my life. Treated like an idiot by them. They replied to my previous review asking me to email them, 2 days ago, I still haven't heard back.

Can't believe you would go through all of this due to the lack of professionalism... Enjoy my money, I hope you eventually shut down. You don't...

It's a basic burger place. Food is so-so, service is atrocious. Only thing okay was the atmosphere which was broken by the unpleasant and rude attitude of the waiters.

We went in, the place was understandably relatively empty as we got to experience the reason in throughout our stay. The waiter unpleasantly shoved us into a line (about 5 ppl ahead of us), saying we had to wait there to be seated. The line was obviously only to order... The people in line were obviously there only to order (it's just after Xmas, they were all in T-shirts and we were the only ones wearing coats...). The waiter taking orders was on the phone for over 10 minutes (like actually, no exaggeration), him and the other waiters standing around idle, ignoring all people standing in line.

We finally got seated 15 minutes (note it was NOT busy by any stretch) in by catching another waiter's attention. The people in line still got to wait to order their meals... Honestly, that start already spoilt the rest of the experience and we were debating leaving throughout. The waiters continued being rude.

Also, they force patrons to pay by card, which id illegal by...

Sat in the outside area yesterday with my boyfriend and as soon as the waitress came out and saw us she immediately told us it was self service. She was rude and unwelcoming. So my boyfriend went inside and ordered two cappuccinos to start and as we were sitting down outside drinking them we saw the locals around us shortly after getting served at their tables. Everything was ordered and then brought out to them by the waitresses. Meanwhile we were discriminated against right away and told it was self service. What a shame. He is English and I am American. We would have ordered more too, but felt uncomfortable and left after having our cappuccinos. This seems to be somewhat of a common occurrence in Belgium so far too. We’ve had some interesting experiences here. Some good and a lot bad unfortunately.
