Very bad experience - what I thought was a nice Spanish sandwich shop turned into a food poisoning nightmare.
Having ordered the Milanese (fried chicken) sandwich and taken a few bites, I realised the chicken was raw, not undercooked but actually raw inside.
After quickly throwing up what I had eaten, I returned to the shop to show them. All I received was an apology, no attempt to remedy the situation by even a offering me a free drink. Furthermore, they couldn’t even offer me a cooked version of the same sandwich and had to settle for a different sandwich which I didn’t really want. No refund, no free drink or anything. Clearly not very apologetic.
I can accept human mistakes but at least attempt to make the situation right. Raw chicken is dangerous and the owners should have realised the gravity of what they did.

So we were tired and checked into mad hotel and went walking to look for food. This place only opens from noon till 2:30. We arrived at 2 and clearly they do a roaring trade as there was hardly anything left. But the chicken escalopes or mini schnitzels looked great. Read moreThis is a phenomenal sandwich shop in or near the European Quarter (EU area) of Brussels. It features sandwiches with Iberian ham and of a Spanish, Italian, and Argentinian style. They have a good variety of high quality and delicious Argentinian empanadas as well as a daily soup.
Order at the counter for either take away or to sit and stay. They have seating both inside and at sidewalk tables outside. When there's a line it moves quickly and you're likely to hear a half dozen different languages in the line as workers from the EU come together for lunch.
