Tasty Mexican food provided by young and friendly enthusiasts - but there is (a lot of) room for improvement. We ordered a burrito and a gringa al pastor from the lunch menu. The burrito was tasty but small. The gringa was tasty - but the server forgot all sides. When asking about the whereabouts, the friendly young chef came and needed to look at the menu to figure out what is missing. And it is not a large menu to start with. They also overcharged on the bill, ran out of bottled water, dropped the empty plates... fine, mistakes happen, but you need to get this under control to run a consistent business. So three stars because you can see that they are clearly not experienced in running a restaurant, but are trying and are super nice. Little did we know we found an absolute GEM! El Quetztal might not look like much from the outside and at 7pm we were the first guests. But in less than half an hour the place was crowded with happy people and the reason is very clear to us: great food (we are both vegetarians and found a good choice of starters and main dishes), friendly service and really authentic ambiente.
