Myself and two of my colleagues were having dinner around 8-9pm yesterday, 7 June 2023. We sat at a small table inside towards the end of the restaurant, next to the large table in the middle.

At first, we were very pleased and happy with the service provided by a younger male waiter who was exceptionally polite and courteous, and the food was good.

However, as we were in the middle of our main course, the tall older male waiter with some grey hair was leading a large group towards the large table behind us. He then abruptly came to our table and roughly shoved it inwards, towards the wall seat saying that he needed more room for the new guests to pass. He shoved the table right into my older colleague who was seating on the wall bench. My older colleague was disabled and had severe mobility issues and was in pain, and the table hit him right in his stomach.

The incident tool literally 2-3 seconds, and I protested to the older waiter explaining that this was rude and rough, and my older disabled colleague was in pain already, and this was not a way to treat customers, let alone those who are disabled and elderly. The older waiter walked straight away and did not pay any attention.

Our group was really upset at this unacceptable behaviour.

I have separately made a complaint to the restaurant and decided to post the above as my Google review, as I find it shocking, incredibly rude, insensitive and totally unacceptable.

My colleagues and I arrived in Brussels earlier this week (5-10 June 2023) to attend an international medical conference and were really looking forward to experience renowned Belgium hospitality, and the above incident completely spoilt our impressions of this restaurant and the country.

This is not something we were expecting to experience in the capital of Europe, and certainly not in a country which quite rightly prides itself for its equality, diversity and inclusion.

I hope that restaurant management take the above as a learning opportunity to improve customer training of their staff to ensure that such behaviour is not tolerated and that such incidents never occur again.

At 18.30 the restaurant just opened Just one couple sat already, but we are told the whole inside place is booked for 19.00. It is Saturday afternoon in August, I believe them. Either in a freezing dark place next room - wir cond at 15C- or outside. We went outside- busy afternoon, plenty of tourists and rather chill wind. Never mind, we just wanted the quality food we used to have here. I ordered the sirloin, my husband had the rumsteak. Both ordered medium, both came well done and on a normal, not heated plate. I could not believe we waited for longer just to have the meat overdone. The meat was good quality, but not what we expected. The service was good. The house wine far from brilliant, just acceptable. All together the experience was not what we expected. For average food plenty of less expensive places. As we left, I checked inside- half of the tables only were taken at 19.30. Not being able to accommodate a couple, even without a reservation, should not be a practice unless really justified. Never mind, we shall not have this problem...

Nice atmosphere , friendly staff. Gave directly a good feeling and the food yeah like good food should be. But you have to make a reservation.

It is in a unique ceramic paintings frame classified in UNESCO in the pedestrian center of Brussels that our team of professionals will make you discover many Belgian homemade specialties. Our chef selects our meats that are cut and flambé in the dining room.

Dominican street is one of the oldest shopping streets in the center of Brussels dating back to the 17th-18th centuries. These buildings were erected during the major reconstruction campaign in the center of Brussels after the bombardment of the city by the troops of Marechal de Villeroi in August 1695. In 1913, the entire ground floor of No. 8 is redeveloped by the architect Maurice Grimme for the Rôtisserie Vincent "House founded in 1905". It is at this time that the restaurant room receives an exceptional interior decoration by the presence of large painted ceramic paintings produced by the firm Helman...

We had dinner here twice during a recent conference in Brussels. The restaurant is very centrally located, close to the famous Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert and the Grande Place in the heart of the city. The food is outstanding and I especially enjoyed the steak with pepper sauce, which is freshly prepared by the waiter/waitress on a table side oven and tastes absolutely amazing. I also had the duck and can highly recommend it. The fries that come with many of the dishes are among the best I’ve ever had (that’s no small feat in a country that prides itself in fries). Also the starters and desserts, which we shared among each other at the table, left nothing to be desired. The service is friendly and professional and the interior is homely and unique thanks to the artistic wall paintings. Strongly recommended despite the high prices!

The staff was excellent; both warm and very attentive. And the restaurant itself was spotless with a very unique aesthetic. The tiled walls had beautiful mosaics of old-fashioned farmers and sailors, and some of the booths themselves appeared to have been fashioned from parts of small boats. Really a fascinating look. And lastly, the food was exceptional. I had a delicious prime rib cooked medium rare with steak au poivre sauce, which was prepared right in front of me with quite an impressive show. I LOVED my meal and absolutely would return. But I’m stuffed, so for now I’ll just roll myself home.

This restaurant with Belgian kitchen is different as others. First of, it is in a very beautiful old style looking area in the center of Brussels. Look around before you open the door of this place. I don't spoil and let you get surprised by the "Entry". Inside it is also extraordinair and score very high with his beautiful old faience. This is definitely a must visit location. Tip: request them to prepare you a crème brulé in the open kitchen in front of you :-) Small menu but very high quality food and i loved it. Budget seen: really more than average but worth it.
