Senraku — Restaurant in Brussels

Great authentic japanese food beyond sushi. Katsu-don. Oyaki-don. Japanese curry. Sashimi. Fried chicken (tori karraage). Grilled fish. Tempura. Bento box. All served with several delicious mini salads and a miso soup. The chef is japanese, the waitress is japanese. So 100% real Japan. I am regular customer since 2017.

Update 29 August 2022 Still comming once per week to have lunch here. Still for me the best lunch in Brussels, i would give it 10 stars if i could. Ate a fabulous Tori Karaage just 1 hour ago, still have a rainbow of flavours in my mouth. Eating here makes me happy. Thank you very much, arigato gozaimasu!

Update October 2022. I still come here once per week. Still loving the food for its authenticity, diversity and yummyness. Value for money is TOP. Best lunch restaurat in the area. P.S. try to come before 12:30, since the place is highly popular. P.S.2. Dinner only on prior reservation.

Average quality sashimi. The only thing worth noting about the place is the hilariously comically rude and obnoxious chef. This pony-tailed individual clearly thinks that he is somebody very important - he is constantly barking at customers, mouthing off at anyone with the temerity to dare to request to sit by the window, pontificating like he's Tokugawa Ieyasu and generally being a tosser. It was hilarious to watch this individual's self-importance, but unpleasant to see the way the poor waitress was hideously embarrassed at his behaviour. Judging by this awful place and Yamayu Santatsu, it seems that all the most rude and obnoxious people in Japan have for some reason decamped to Brussels, presumably because their personality defects meant they didn't fit in their own society and needed to come somewhere where their full obnoxiousness could be unleashed. Avoid...

I started coming more often. I really enjoy the food. But do come early in order to ensure you get your food choice. I appreciate this authentic restaurant!

They work from 12-2. So two hours from lunch. I come often at 1 pm and order vegetable tempura. One of the 6 things on the menu. Usually at 1 pm they not have vegetable tempura because it is sold out. If you are open two hours for lunch - try to have the things on the menu. Order more...
