We booked the new year's day dinner and it was the MOST HUMILIATING, FRUSTRATING AND HORRIBLE DINING EXPERIENCE that I've had in my entire life.in short, the managers on duty were outright discriminatory toward Asian customers. We were the earliest at the table (coincidentally with another Asian family) and we were almost always served last. The situation got so out of hand that we were almost 3 hours into the dinner and they have forgotten about Granita (which I had to remind the waiter) and we were still not served with our desserts. This was utterly ridiculous because while 3 hours dinners are not unusual by standard, half an hour idle time after each dish was NOT OKAY. All the rest of the consumers were enjoying their meals while we were left stoning and waiting for our food.
The managers were all unhelpful except the very kind lady who got us our seats. Unfortunately she wasn't around the rest of the night and the other shift of managers took over and everything went downhill after. We tried alerting the managers about our concerns and one gentleman had the cheek to respond, "I don't know. I am just in charge of drinks." No accountability and responsibility and this had left a bitter taste in our mouths. Our new year eve dinner was utterly ruined.
I have no idea how this restaurant got its 4.7 stars on Google review but this is nothing but a mediocre, out of the mill restaurant. Food were cold...
Read moreWe had an excellent dinner at the Sentro, the new brasserie at the Hilton Grand Place.
Pauline provided perfect service.
Prefer a table next to the window with a nice view on city centre.
Started with 2 GT and followed with seabass carpaccio and calamari with tomato quinoa.
The menu is Spanish infused with great belgian touches.
Our mains was the grilled octopus with bell pepper ( great cooking method melting in the mounts) and sweetbreads with belgian white endives, marvellous way to make a perfect belgian dish.
A bit pricey but to-date a nice environment and in Brussels city centre there are not that many left.
Belga Queen is our other favourite but tables need...
Read moreLet me first start off by saying that usually I avoid restaurants in hotels at ALL costs because they are mediocre. But WOW, I’m very glad I tried Sentro! Located in the Hilton Grand Place lobby, the chef is divine. The best dish by far is the grey shrimp beignets- the beignets are filled with the most delicious pumpkin and spices, they are just joyous- make sure to eat the shrimp in the same bite as the beignet and sauce with greens or it will be too fishy.
The steak is ok, but the sauce that comes with it is delicious!! I dipped my fries in it.
It is a baby friendly place and they have high chairs. So good I went back on my...
