I recently had the pleasure of dining at Santorini, an authentic Greek restaurant nestled in the bustling streets of Brussels. The moment I stepped inside, I was transported to the beautiful Greek island the restaurant is named after, thanks to the lovely blue and white decor, traditional music, and warm hospitality.

The staff at Santorini are exceptional. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations for our meal. They made us feel right at home and ensured our dining experience was perfect from start to finish.

Now, let's talk about the food – absolutely divine! We began our meal with the saganaki, a perfectly pan-fried cheese dish with just the right amount of crispiness, and the tzatziki, which was creamy and full of flavor. For our main course, we shared the mixed grill platter, which featured an array of succulent meats like souvlaki, gyros, and lamb chops, accompanied by fresh Greek salad and warm pita bread. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully.

To end our meal, we indulged in the baklava and loukoumades, which were simply heavenly. The baklava was flaky and sweet, while the loukoumades were light and airy, drenched in honey and dusted with cinnamon. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was impeccable.

Poor quality food. The gyros had a bad smell, and when we ate it, it left a mix of fats and low-quality oils on the plate. We ordered two small beers, a Mythos and a Jupiler 0%, but were charged for three. We asked for the bill, and the waiter brought us a beer instead. When we told him we had asked for the bill, not a beer, he said it was “on the house.” We didn’t drink it, but in the end, we paid for it anyway… haha… We paid €15.50 just for drinks, and a total of €43.50 for a bad, poor-quality meal. I’m sorry, but they’re looking for suckers… Even though I’m a Greek living in Belgium, these kinds of behaviors really disappoint me....
