A 6 (or 7) course meal in a moving tram across Brussels is definitely the perfect experience gift 🌟 we had a lovely time!
For anyone planning to book this experience for themselves or as a gift, please take the following points in mind: This experience is worth the price if you drink alcohol, as delicious wines are served throughout. Servers are happy to serve as much as you want so ENJOY (with some moderation 😅) The seats are (very) small, which is truly a pity, as it makes for a non inclusive experience. The space between the table and the back of seat is very tiny (a pregnant person, for example, would likely not fit). Considering the placement of the tables, you will probably have to sit backwards either to go or to come back (ofc you can swap mid way but just take into account that one of you will always have to sit backwards). If you usually get sick on public transport, take the necessary precautions, as not doing so could ruin the experience. If you’re planning to offer this as a gift card, warn whoever you gift it to that it’s hard to book, in the sense that the spots are quickly sold out. Usually, new spots and dates are made available a bit over a month before (if I remember correctly) so book then. Emailing tram experience can help to know when they’ll post new spots.
Now onto the food and service: The service was perfect, with attentive servers that took the time to explain every dish and wine. They were all fluent in French, Dutch and English. The food was delicious… although the portions were not so generous. In a 6 course meal, three are very small appetisers. They are super tasty, but doubling the quantity would be appreciated. The starter was incredible (shallots cooked to perfection) and the dessert was super good. However, the ice cream of the dessert didn’t have the right texture (too icy) and the main course was a large plate with three little appetiser puff pastries and a little filet of duck or - in my case - cod. The cod was well cooked, but nothing mind blowing… this could be improved! The drinks were great and, like said above, you could have as much as you wanted, which makes for a fun experience.
Overall, this is a great experience to do with your partner, friends or family! Take into account the points...

We set out on this adventure thinking it’ll be like a Michelin star restaurant experience. After all, it was advertised that a one star chef would be preparing the food. We got a typical tram experience with a delay of 30min and no where to wait outside the rain. And a grumpy host to greet us, also annoyed by the delay.
We saw the staff without gloves, touching food and licking fingers afterwards and what really looked like food being warmed in a microwave. It’s false advertising if a one star chef would allow this to happen to his menu. Best of all: guests get Bru water, staff drinks San Pellegrino. Sponsors can’t be too happy about this.
Food quality was below average where the emphasis seemed to be on precooked ‘traiteur’ food. No vegetable near any dish: just carbs, meat and dairy.
Service was unlogical where the front of the tram was served first and the back last. Never inverse to allow for all guests to get equal type of service. This resulted for us in food being served lukewarm, on the edge of being cold and very slow refills of drinks.
There was no announcement when the tram would start, so a high chance of spilling your drink because of the kick. Neither did the chef do any introduction which seems like a normal thing to do because it’s so much a small number of tables. But I even wonder if he was on board given the state of service and food.
Can’t recommend this at all if you’re looking for the advertised quality of food. Take tram 44 with a picking basket and you’ll have a better ‘tram experience’ than the one where you pay a lot of money for low level...
Read moreWe went on the Tram Experience in June 2025 and it was a wonderful experience. The food and service was excellent and good value for money. Highly recommend! The tram ride takes you through many beautiful parts of Brussels, which is a fabulous way of getting to know the city - or if you (like us) have a sentimental attachment to it. It's also pretty fun to see the astonished faces of the people waiting for the normal tram as you go along :-) There is a vegetarian menu option that you can select at the time of your reservation. The menu includes matching wines and sparkling water. We had one underage guest in our party which we hadn't informed the organizers about. There was no non-alcoholic drinks alternative available to this guest except sparkling water. This was no problem for us, but if you do want a non-alcoholic drinks alternative you may want to make this known at the time of your...
