Really nice place to have dinner with a friend or a group of friends if you want to have a unique experience! You can make a reservation on their site which is quite easy and much more enjoyable than having to call to make a reservation. Here the experience is different because you already need to chose for your reservation if you want fish/meat or vegetarian menu which is perfect for people who have a hard time choosing at a restaurant. The moment you walk in it's really cozy and you already know it's going to be unique. The waiter was really friendly and always explains what you're going to eat. I can not say anything bad about the food because every dish was prepared with so much detail and prepared with the right amount of spices that you could say the food was addictive. With every dish you can get complementary wine and also here the waiter can help you with your choice. At the end of the night we left the restaurant with nothing more than a big smile on our face and taste buds that were still tingleling from the different dishes. I would definitly recommend this place if you want to have a different night out with a loved one or just a group of friends. Would definitly come here again if i pass by.

50-Fifty is one of those hidden gems you almost want to keep secret. A small, intimate restaurant run entirely by the owner, who only accepts guests by reservation and serves one of two set menus — both based on fresh, seasonal produce. The food was exceptional. Every dish was perfectly balanced, from the delicate sauces to the beautifully prepared vegetables. It’s one of those meals that makes you wish you could give more than five stars. A true standout experience in Gent — warm, personal, and utterly delicious.

A nice dinner spot in the city center. For people who don’t eat much meat or fish, this place is perfect! We’re flexitarians, so we ordered one green menu and one with fish and meat — both came out perfectly. Lots of veggies and fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. The food was served at a good pace, and for four courses we spent about 2.5–3 hours in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place — you’ll appreciate how much care they put into their menu.

We liked very much both the food and the service. I particularly liked that I tried to communicate in Dutch, and the owner was happy to keep going without switching to English, as is usually the case elsewhere. He explained the dishes, answered questions, and was professional and respectful. The food was excellent. We had the set menus. The food was creative, well-thought in terms of texture, pairings, and flavours. Mocktails and coffee were also excellent. We liked everything, but I particularly liked the fish-based dishes and the dessert. Sharing the dishes is not something we like much, but it seems to be a contemporary common concept and worked well here. The time between courses could be a little faster sometimes. However, it was worth waiting, and I would not compromise the current quality by going a little faster. With good company and in such an environment, we did not see the time flying. Once you realise the owner spends time explaining the dishes to every table, it just makes sense that one cannot rush. I'm happy I had a chance to dine there before it became more famous. A place for couples, friends, and to bring...

We visited this place with friends in July 2018, just weeks after it opened. I must say the food was very tasty, original and fresh. You can choose to go for one of two set menus: one including meat and fish and one without. This is the first time I went for a veggie menu in a place actually offering meat, and I must say I did not regret: it was delicious. No worries: the other half of our group of four went for the meat & fish and were also extremely satisfied of their choice. The service was very good and personal (although I can imagine some people being a bit scared by the psoriasis on co-owner's hands serving the food). The interior is good, but it misses something right now. There is a small terrace outside. High (food) value for money. Overall we had a great experience and we can only highly recommend this place for both lunch and dinner. A great gastronomic asset for the great...
