Drinks - Decent selection of beers. Friends ordered specialty beer that didn’t have any brandings on the bottle! The only branding can be found on the bottle cap!

Ambience - Stopped here for a last round of drinks (before midnight) and the place was fairly busy. We found seats in the lower ground (basement?) which was okay but couldn’t get a mobile connection and really hard to get service from staff. It was late at night though. Overall, the place was fairly cosy and clean. There are lots of trolls out in the front window if that’s your thing!

Accessibility - Steps to enter and more steps to get to different areas; not wheelchair friendly.

Cost - Average pricing. Personally, nothing spectacular so it was just average value for money.

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO DRINK BEER. The owner (or some one eyed old guy who really wasn't interested in selling beer or working apparently) was very unhelpful and rude to me and our guests from the start. It was a Wednesday night, it was a slow night, there were 5 of us and we're nothing but kind. He was constantly annoyed with our questions for beer recommendations. (we are visitors and were looking for some good new beers to try!) We were harassed by nationalist drunks in the basement who wouldn't leave us alone and literally shouted "Sieg Heil" at our table. Once the bar ran out of the beer we're drinking, we asked for another recommendation and were again met with annoyance. Apparently this is a locals only bar and us english speakers we not welcome. Service at Trollekelder has dramatically slipped... Previously the staff and atmosphere were friendly. On my latest visit now they are confrontational and rude. After the first round of drinks, I asked for an extra glass to share my second beverage with a friend (even politely acknowledging the inconvenience it might cause them) but was firmly refused!? On questioning this response and the customer service image it promoted the two barmen both became became indignant and belligerent. All I can say is that it was hardly the winning recipe for a great atmosphere and to make clientele feel welcome.

I recommend avoiding this establishment - the staff clearly do not care for the patrons - there are plenty of other (and better) cafes/bars nearby to enjoy and which will actually value...
