IzyCoffee Gent — Restaurant in Ghent

We stood in a long line to order coffee at this cafe while we waited to go on a tour. The barista was busy which we understood and while we waited we used the restrooms. However, with the line moving slowly we were forced to leave because our tour was about to leave. At this point the rude barista shouted across the cafe at us with some sarcastic comment about using his toilet. It was a needlessly rude and confrontational thing for him to do. What an idiot! I found two euro and went and gave it to him telling him he was a rude idiot and he said "Yeah, get out." I reflected on giving him the two euros and wished I'd taken a huge dump on the bathroom...

Came here on Saturday at 7:45 AM..I was ready to wait outside until they officially opened (only coffeeshop open at 8 am in the weekend) but to my surprise doors were already open and I ordered a coffee. What happened after that made my entire week..

I was the only one in the shop and the barista, Ari, offered me some of his breakfast. We then had such an incredibly lovely chat. It was so nice to meet an incredible, friendlyz positive human so early in the day.

Agreed the coffee is expensive, but would pay it any time for the early opening hours and...

Wow, the worst coffee place I’ve ever visited money/service vice. The prices are ridiculous even for Belgium. Way more than in specialty cafe with good coffee. Coffee quality - meh, ok 2,5 out of 5 Deserts 1 / 5, I feel like cookies were a week old and impossible to bite. Price - ridiculously high!!! Service - 0/5, the coffee is served in paper cups which you have to come and pick up from the counter by yourself. The music wasn’t bad, but barista was constantly watching tik-toks out loud, so I couldn’t...
