I ordered a salmon poke bowl and a chicken pad thai to take away. First, the positive: pad thai was LEGIT. I’ve been waiting to find a true thai flavoured pad thai in town, and this one is a keeper. The size of the poke bowl was big and it had 3 pieces of sashimi salmon, which was somewhat a humble amount - but tasty nevertheless. Also, I really liked the rice of the poke bowl: glutinous, sour and sweet. I can imagine their sushi being very tasty. Finally, the bag I walked away with was a paper one, not plastic, and also the poke bowl was packed in a cardboard container. So brownie points for that :)

Now, for the not so good: the menu does not describe what veggies are inside the poke bowl. Mine came with strawberries, mango, pinneapple, a sweet pickled veggie, wakame and some avocado cubes. So mostly fruit instead of veggies. The result was way too sweet for my taste, even after adding all the soy sauce that came with the dish. If you’re into eating fruit with your savoury meals, this might...

The food is good here, but the problem was somewhere else. We went to order take away on our business trip with my colleague and we decided to go to Asian King. Staff was helpful, restaurant looks very pretty, but the problem was how they treated our orders... We specifically asked for separate orders and we were told that it is not a problem and that we need to wait 10-15 minutes (sounds fair)... When we finally got our orders after more than 30 minutes, they've put it in one bag, so I asked again, if they are separate and staff said that they are, they are just in one bag... When we came to the hotel where we stayed, we wanted to split it so both of us could take their orders to the room... When we opened the bag, we saw they put both sushi orders in one box together, gave us only one small wasabi drop for both orders and only one sauce for both orders...Such a disappointment for us ... They lied to us and didn't...

I visited Asian King for a sushi treat. The service was top-notch with an attentive waiter and fast service. They offer pleasant outdoor seating. The rice and salmon were notably fresh.

However, the food did fall short in some aspects. The 2 person boat we ordered didn't quite match up with what was described in the menu. I was particularly disappointed to find out that they substituted tuna with cucumber, kani, and other less expensive items. This was particularly evident with the tuna sashimi, which sadly tasted old and was off-putting.

Paying 45 euros and not receiving what's promised in the menu was a letdown. For those considering a visit, I'd recommend steering clear of the tuna and the combos, as they might not align with your expectations based on the menu...

We entered the restaurant at a quiet hour, but tje waitress was as polite as ever! She was friendly, and even though her dutch wasn't that great, she tried to explain everything as good as possible. We took dim sum as a starter. I've never had it before and I loved it! As main dish, I chose for the Yakisoba. The flavour was not that strong in my opinion, but after adding some extra Soy Sauce, it got more flavour! The restaurant is also very affordable for what you get. I would recommend this and for sure go eat again!
