Janine's — Restaurant in Ghent

This place has been on my list for quite a long time. I finally got the opportunity to eat lunch here and I must say it was an amazing experience.

The interior is cozy. There aren’t that many tables, but even when the place is full it doesn’t feel crowded. We were seated by the kitchen and the bar. We had a clear view of the kitchen and it was clear that the staff worked very efficiently (which is always nice to see!).

The food itself was so tasty. They have quite a small menu, but that guarantees that you don’t have to wait long on your food. We ordered the fish, a pasta and the rib-eye.

Excellent food quality. I've tried 3 different salads, and all of them were delicious. Portions aren't too big, but enough, and the price on the high side - but you do get excellent quality for it! Nice restaurant however we came early at 7 pm and one of the 4 main dishes was apparently already gone. Then we wanted to order a simple standard desert and that was also already gone.
