Okay, for real though, this is a really fun place. You're close to a Kinepolis cinema, and a 5 minute walk from the Saint-Pieters abbey. There's an old monastery very close by, and well, the canals make this an enchanting spot.
Plenty of drinks on the menu and a few delicuous dishes. Not overly expensive either, and the service is generally excellent.
One downside: you can only pay cash here, and the closest ATM is 15 mins away. Although a little birdie told me the cinema can exchange some cash in the form...
Read moreLovely, cosy bar on several levels across the different decks of this boat, moored on the riverside, on the opposite bank not far from St Pieters Abbey. Toasted sandwiches were a bit hard, the beer menu is very very good. The only downside (and hence only 3 stars) is that nowhere did it say they only take cash. We had to pay by bank transfer (which involved a hefty fee from our bank). It happens a lot it seems, as they have all the bank details printed out. A sign at the door, or a quick mention when we placed our initial order, would have saved us...
Read moreOne of my favorites go-to places. The comfy and warm atmosphere there is really nice. You can enjoy a drink or some snacks inside, or you can enjoy it on deck. Good for a well-diverse range of beers, and I would really recommend for people to try 'La Corne du Bois des Pendus' or 'Kwak' for a beer that comes in a glass shaped respectively as a viking horn or an hourglass!
