My husband and I recently visited this coffee place with high hopes of enjoying a pleasant coffee break together. However, our experience left us more frustrated than refreshed, thanks to an encounter with an inattentive worker.
As we entered the coffee shop, we took a moment to decide what we wanted and then patiently waited on what we thought was the right side of the counter. Little did we know that we were standing in the wrong spot. To our surprise, instead of giving us a friendly heads-up or guiding us to the correct place, the worker chose to simply ignore us.
Even more perplexing was the fact that she saw us standing there before anyone else. Instead of acknowledging our presence, she decided to direct us to the end of the line, as if we had just arrived. It was a baffling and unnecessary inconvenience that left us feeling disrespected as customers.
In the end, our visit to this coffee place was far from enjoyable. We expected a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but instead, we were met with indifference and incompetence. So we left with no coffee. Customer service should be a top priority in any establishment, and this experience fell far short of those expectations.
In summary, our recent trip to this coffee place left us disappointed and frustrated. It's disheartening when simple courtesy and efficient service seem to be overlooked. We hope that the management can address these issues to ensure a more pleasant experience for all customers...
Read moreMost important: Great coffee!! But also a friendly and passionated staff makes this place the best in town. Always a pleasure to 'take out' a coffee here. There is a discount when you bring your own mug, to me thats also a plus. As a local: It s sooo nice to see the same staff working here for such a long period of time, i hate it when places only with students that are replaced every month. This is a truly amazing place and we wish Alexis&his staff all the best with this jazzy coffee bar! I think 'Take five' makes from -what used to be a boring street- this the true centre of Ghent, a place where locals want to meet and hang out. Another recommendation would be, Its okay to raise the prices a bit, provided there is a loyalty card for regular...
Read moreGood coffee, awful service and manners. We ordered two coffees and one hot chocolate. When they brought our order, it seemed they had forgotten about the later (it took her two trips to the bar to realized what happened). So we had to go in and queue again. No apologies but the waiter promised to make it before the rest of the orders and asked us to wait outside. We did. Nobody came. We waited outside again. It seemed they had forgotten about it again. No apologies. Instead, in an extremely rude manner they ordered us (my husband) to go outside to wait. We did again. After 25 minutes, we finally got the hot choco. I know they do not care because Ghent has become a second Brugge and they have plenty of people passing by. But, in our case,...
