Oh my.. where to start. The food was really good, the pasta was delicious even though its a bit overpriced, but thats Chatelain. We were celebrating, so we ordered a wine from 2015 which was priced at €66, when the wine was served we noticed we actually received a bottle from 2016, not the same wine at all... We asked about it to the waitress and she politely said we were right and she would contact the manager. When it was time to pay this is when HELL broke loose: I spoke to the manager and told him the wine we got was not the one they were selling on the menu, he simply said the menu had a mistake but that the cost of this wine was the same to him on his computer system so he could do nothing about it and that in the end it was the same wine. I told him he was wrong, the year of the wine is very important and we even checked online and the 2015 was much better rated that the one from 2016, he argued he knew its was the same because his uncle makes wine in Italy. Just so it happens my uncle make wine in Chile too, when i answered that he laughed at me. He was extremely rude and agressive towards me. I told him we had just payed a lot of money for our dinner and I expected a better answer and reaction from him, he proceeded to opening the money box and handing me bills.. all of this in front of other customers and his crew. I simply told him: look if I buy a black coat I expect to get a black coat, if you give me a red one instead its not ok. This is the same situation, you are the manager here and you are making a fool of yourself. I had to leave after that because this guy was not giving up, it even looked like he was going to follow us through the back door after we left to continue yelling at me. What a way to end our night. Bitter taste as the chef and cooks are very good but the manager is an idiot. Not coming back...
Read moreStrange welcome at 18:20 pm, they told us they were closed... asked them when they would open, and the girl told me I should get back in 10 minutes. Terras was completely empty, so after asking a second time we got a table assigned anyway. Very slow and chaotic service (even when they opened after 18:30). Took us about half an hour to get our drinks. They tasted well in the sun. We had a delicious antipasti with bruscetta and burrata. Perfect to share 2 plates with 4 persons as a starter. After not much of a wait we got our pasta dishes. Me girlfriend and sister received their tagliatelle tartufo, but shockingly the piece truffle had little worms crawling out. Terrible mistake and tells me the kitchen is very unprofessional. It's known that flies like truffle as well. So a wrongly treated truffle might have some flies eggs inside. But a good chef cannot overlook this. We returned the plates, got a another dish, but pretty much lost our appetite. These things can happen ofcourse, but the way the staff ignored their mistake and avoided to come back to us with excuse or a compensation gave us a sour taste. I'll never come back to...
Read moreHow dare you call this place an Italian restaurant? I have never been to an Italian place with such poor service and food quality... Wait was way too long before we could place our order. Furthermore, it was not possible to order 2 out of the 7 pasta dishes because they were running out of eggplants... After we had some average antipasti, we had to wait again for almost 1 hour before getting our dishes. We were 5 friends, we all ordered pasta but they were so disgusting that none of us ate more than half of our plate. We should probably have sent the plates back, but after the wait and the disappoinment we all lost our appetite. When the bill arrived no discount was offered, they only proposed to offer us a coffee or limoncello as compensation which we kindly declined. Also the waiter forgot to give us the change back once we paid, probably as he assumed we wanted to leave a tip! I will never eat there again! If you are looking for a good place to eat italian food in Brussels, there are many much better options than this...
