Service was one of, if not the most rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional my friend and I have ever experienced in our 22 year bar experience between us, the waitress (the only Irish waitress working here) came to our table and demanded we pay our tab now when the waitress who orignally gave us our food said that "it is easier if you guys just pay when you are leaving", we were in the middle of watching the all ireland final at this time so we said fine okay. My friend and I had ordered some food, and mid-way through our food, the waitress came to the table, and literally stood in my face with a card machine waiting for my friend and i to pay. My friend said to the waitress he didn't understand why she had to come to the table now while were just starting our meal. She said "well it was a different waitress beforehand, it wasn't me so you guys need to pay now". So when we expressed our confusion, she then tried to turn the tables and say that it was in fact us who were in the wrong and were being disrespectful to her for not paying mid-way through the meal after us actually offering to pay beforehand and being told to pay afterwards. She then refused to serve us again, told us that we were the ones being disrespectful and she couldn't believe that 2 irish guys were acting with such disrespect? which was unbelievable to say the least..
Her colleagues even came over to apologize for her actions afterwards which tells it's own story.
Bare in mind me and my friend have a nacho with melted cheese falling from it, in hand, looking at her in confusion while all this is happening.
Extremely weird and...
Read moreMy friends and I went for a karaoke night to celebrate holidays. Everything was going great and we were all excited to go, everyone bought something to drink as we had already eaten before. We scanned the QR code (that has a time limit) where we can choose our songs and where we also can see the queue so we knew when it was our turn (btw its 2 songs per person) and they didn’t let us SING anymore because it was ´always people from our table going up on stage’. We were the ONLY ones in the queue except for one other guy!!! So some of my friends didn’t get to sing and we left the bar without really having the fun we had hoped for. I would understand if more people were in the queue but we really were the only ones. They re showed the QR code after like 30 mins and people joined the queue but we were still waiting for our songs to play and didn’t add other songs!!! They didn’t let us SING even though we were the FIRST ones and practically the ONLY ones in the queue !! Made us all very upset. Other than that it has a cool ambiance with a disco ball and stuff but like it would’ve been cooler if they just kept the system with ‘first ones to choose are the first ones to sing’ instead of prohibiting us from singing like we had so...
Read moreService was not bad, but on more than occasion they were idling and chatting with each other and completely ignored we were waiving at them, forcing us to leave our seats and talk to them directly in their posts. But nice waiters nevertheless. Delicious finger food with some good portions for some items, but not so great portions for french fries and onion rings. The atmosphere was quite nice (we were there to watch rugby), with plenty of screens so you can watch the game wherever you seat, and understandably there were other people watching other sports who would shout whenever there was a goal, but that is expected and tbh, contributes to the whole vibe. My only note about the atmosphere was that although smoking is absolutely forbidden, there were some people outside blowing smoke inside the pub. That was eventually what made us leave the pub and choose another one. Toilets could be a little cleaner as well. Not too expensive, but not exactly cheap (we spent an average of 50€/person). Would recommend for watching live sports and for the quizzes, but would avoid...
