Very bad experience! Food was not fresh, poor quality service and owner very aggressive and impolite.
I ordered the fish that was very dry and cold, after a few bites ( 2 of mine & 1 of my boyfriend), we decide to send it back. It takes ages to capture the attention of the waitress, that otherwise was nice and polite. by the time she comes back to our table, my companion has already finished his dish and we already have to leave, so no time ( and no desire) to replace the fish with another order..
At the moment of paying she hands me the bill and the fish is still in it. I refuse to pay for food I could not eat. Then the owner/“chef” comes and starts to behave very disrespectful and aggressively. He tries to pretend that I ate 3/4 of the fish and therefore I should pay for it. When I insist that we only had 3 bites, he replies impolitely: “why do you need 3 bites to realise it’s not well coocked”. He eventually admitted that the fish can be removed from the bill but not without adding the following distasteful comment: “ it’s not one fish that will make me rich”.finally, he turns back to the kitchen telling me that I should go to McDonald’s next time... 🙄
I honestly don’t understand why people like that owe restaurants since it’s clearly not to welcome their guests well and serve them good food......
Read moreI’ve been traveling Europe for three months this summer, and this was seriously one of the best meals I’ve had. We ordered two small dishes and a dessert. The escargots were out of this world. The prawn salad was a beautiful fusion of French and Mauritian cuisine. The house olives were incredible; they invest in a delightfully rich Olive oil, and then add a variety of garlic, onion, herbs, and sun-dried tomato. their homemade hot sauce was a highlight for me. Delightfully spicy (very) and balanced; a little dab will do you just right - add carefully! Outstanding. For dessert we ordered the house made (cookies = snickeroo? Sp) tiramisu. Granted our plates were not large ones as we weren’t very hungry. But I was just at the right amount of food, and our bill came in at €50 including two glasses of wine and a bottle of water. One of the best values I’ve encountered for quality, taste, and price....
Read moreA family rearaurant and a very cozy place. Food is delicious, we recomment the cuisse de canard and the ribs prepared in the Maurice Island way. Portions are very generous and the meals also balanced. They greet you with an 'amuse bouche'. Bread is delicious and the spicy sauce makes everything just so much better. Everything is clean and neat. Service is very polite amd you can even have a chat with the owners (the wife manages the room and the husband cooks). Great experience and amazing place to bring in a date or spend a lovely...
