RIPPED OFF by scummy manager!

About a week ago my boyfriend and I ordered a split pizza. One halve would be like a ‘pizza carnivora’ and the other side would be like a ‘pizza al pesto’. The waitress warned that there is €5 cost for sharing a pizza with 2 people. This seemed fair. We expected to pay €26 for our normal size split pizza: the €21 price of a pizza carnivora (which is slightly more expensive than the al pesto) + the €5 fee for sharing a pizza.

Would you believe that our total bill for one pizza and 2 soft drinks was €42,50?!

You see, when we came up to pay the person who I assume is the manager explained that besides the drinks he had to charge us the price of the ‘pizza carnivora’ + the fee to share a pizza with 2 + the price of adding the individual ingredients of the ‘pizza al pesto’ to your pizza.

This resulted in a very frustrating argument with the manager which went nowhere. I’m not the confrontational type, but did point out that he was charging us as if we had ordered a whole ‘pizza carnivora’ with the 4 ingredients of the ‘pizza al pesto’ spread out over top of the entire pizza, as opposed to the half and half split pizza we had. Essentially that he was charging us as if we had twice as many toppings as we actually did. He coughed up that it’s unfortunate.

I wish I still had the bill to figure out what the exact cost were, because I’ve tried to re-engineer how we were ripped off, but it is impossible to find the right combination.

It’s possible that the €5 fee to share a pizza with 2 is actually a €10 fee! It would be €5 per person as opposed to €5 per additional person. Can you imagine paying €10 extra for 1 pizza?! I’ve tried to calculate how we payed over €40 and it seems likely that this is how.

We were almost certainly charged double for the bacon as well. You see a ‘pizza carnivora’ and a ‘pizza al pesto’ both have bacon, but he likely added the €2 to add it as an extra ingredient to the price. Again he must’ve charged us in full for this as well as for the pesto, cherry tomatoes and mushrooms which took up only one half of the pizza! How much he exactly charged for these remains a mystery cause I’m not getting to the actual total price in my calculations. Did he count mushrooms as meat to inflate the price? Pesto as a vegetable?

My boyfriend is certain we had 1 soft drink each, but I even tried to calculate a way to achieve the €42,50 price if we each had 2, but I can’t figure it out.

Either way, this feels like robbery. I will never be returning to this place until it has a new owner. I’ll be warning all my friends if we’re in the area. This whole experience left an awful taste...

Disappointing Experience: Rude Owner, Unpleasant Service, Way too long waiting time, and Overpriced Menu

My recent visit left me utterly disappointed and dissatisfied. The overall experience was marred by a rude owner and waitstaff, exorbitant prices, and a mediocre pizza.

Firstly, the behavior of the owner and waiters was completely unacceptable. Their attitude was consistently rude and disrespectful throughout my entire visit. It's disheartening to encounter such unprofessionalism in a supposedly reputable establishment. Their lack of basic courtesy and attentiveness towards customers made the dining experience unpleasant and uncomfortable.

Adding to my disappointment was the exorbitant pricing. The menu prices were significantly higher compared to other pizzerias in the area, without any justification. It felt like they were trying to take advantage of customers without offering any exceptional quality or service. It's disappointing to pay a premium price for an average pizza that failed to live up to its hype.

Speaking of the food, the pizza was nothing more than average. The taste was ordinary, lacking any unique or memorable flavors. The crust was neither crispy nor fluffy, and the toppings were sparse, further contributing to the lackluster experience. Given the inflated prices, I expected much better quality and taste.

Overall, I cannot recommend to anyone based on my negative experience. The rude owner and waiters, coupled with the exorbitant prices and average pizza, make it a poor choice for dining. Save your time and money by exploring other options in the area that offer better value, friendlier service, and more...

It was the most horrible experience I ever had! We were 3 adults and a toddler, we ordered x2 regular pizzas and x1 large, we stayed 55min and then the waitress came and said that there are people waiting for the table if we can leave quickly. In shock, we stood up to leave, and I asked if the table was reserved as no one told us that when we arrived. She told me with a rude attitude that they don't do reservations. The owner then started saying that he needs to make money and each person needs to take one pizza and we have to leave!!!! I never felt so much unwanted. Was it because we are not Belgians or because we had a toddler? Or was it something else? He was happy with taking our money, but he was extremely unprofessional and rude. Yes right, tasty pizza but if I need to be treated like this, no but thank you. Absolutely...

The feature of this place is a rude and abusive service. The waiters were rude, the service was terrible, and the wait time was excessively long. Unfortunately, even the pizza itself was average at best. We waited for a free table for our group, but the waiter gave it to another party. After that, they suggested we place a take-away order instead, and even after we placed the order, we had to wait for an hour. I was hoping for a memorable dining experience, but instead, I left feeling disappointed. Never again. There’re many better places in this city.
