We had lunch at Bamboo Fence and Swing Bar while visiting Secret Beach in July 2025. Like most places in the area, they have tables in the water, but these could use more regular cleaning—lots of algae and buildup. The setup felt a bit less organized compared to neighboring spots, which looked better maintained overall.
The food was good. We had the quesadilla, a hamburger, and the nachos—nachos are definitely the highlight. Piña coladas were tasty, and the beer was cold, though we had to remind the staff about our beer order. Service was very slow despite the place not being busy.
Prices are typical for Secret Beach, with piña coladas at $25 BZD—more expensive than in San Pedro town but standard for the area.
Bathrooms were available, but there was no running water. Also, while there’s a large sign saying they only take cash, they do accept credit cards.
Be aware that the umbrellas don’t tilt, so as the sun moves, shade becomes limited. Boats arriving near shore can also kick up waves that reach the shoreline tables.
Overall, not a bad experience, but there are likely better-organized options nearby. Worth a stop if you’re already at Secret Beach, but don’t expect...
Read moreIt was a great day at Secrets Beach for the eleven of us family and friends! It was our first time and we plan to return again this weekend. We visited various restaurants before settling at the Bamboo Swing Bar. We were lured in by the island music that was playing on the beach - it was vibing. It was also nice to know that credit cards were acceptable. Actually, the majority of restaurant bars at Secrets Beach accepted credit cards. We also liked the larger water space and all the picnic tables that were spread through out at Bamboo Swing Bar compared to other areas at Secrets Beach. We had so much fun and it was so relaxing, we stayed in the water pretty much 95% of the time (1130a-330p). Unfortunately, there was not much to brag about as a handful of their lounge chairs and table needed to be disposed due damages and/or missing parts. Definitely an eyesore and recommend Bamboo Swing Bar replace damage items and cleaning up around the area daily.
Good food and drinks overall. The shrimp ceviche was tasty compared to Blue Bayou’s restaurant, which was right next door.
All servers at Bamboo Swing Bar were attentive and hard working. Props to...
Read moreTo preface this review, my spouse and I went to the swing bar on Good Friday, so this likely affected the service as most of the other bars and restaurants on secret beach were closed, and the swing bar was pretty busy. The fish tacos were good, however the components of the conch ceviche, including the onion, were in large pieces which made it somewhat unpleasant to eat. Several servers asked us if we needed anything while we were out at one of the tables on the water, but we figured out that we only received our orders if they were placed with our original server (fair enough). The location is very nice, especially at the tables under an umbrella. The music was a little loud, but this is a beach club so that's to be expected. One of the bartenders at our hotel warned us that some establishments at secret beach will add additional items to your tab and rack up the bill, however when we settled up, the bill only included the items that we ordered and actually received. Also, the prices were pretty reasonable for a beach club. All in all, this was a pretty pleasant spot to spend an afternoon, and we enjoyed our time at...
