I was genuinely excited to try Wasabi in Bermuda, especially as a fan of Asian cuisine, but my experience left me extremely disappointed. I ordered the spider poke salad that was supposed to include mango, avocado, carrot, and sesame seeds — none of which were actually in the bowl. Instead, what I received was mostly lettuce (with barely any dressing), a few pieces of corn, lima beans, and three cucumber slices. For $24, I honestly felt like I paid for a plain salad. The crab tempura was also very underwhelming: it was deep-fried in the shell, had almost no meat inside, and tasted unpleasant. The flavors were bland, the textures were off, and the overall experience felt careless — especially considering the price. I’m open to giving Wasabi another try but I wanted to share my experience so the restaurant can hopefully improve and make sure guests are actually receiving what’s listed on the menu.

We just enjoyed a fast, fresh, steaming hot lunch at this new restaurant located in Washington Lane. It’s a small spot, with a great view of passerby if you face towards the lane, or a view of the friendly chefs if you face towards the kitchen. We barely waited 5 minutes and our lunch was ready. Really enjoyed my broccoli stir fry with tofu, the brown sauce at the bottom of the bowl was so savory and tasty, perfect with the sticky rice. Would get it again. I’m also intrigued by the tornado omelet, maybe I’ll try that next time.

I got a recommendation for a hot spot, so I had my first meal in Bermuda at WASAB and ordered the Spicy Tuna Maki. After just one bite, I couldn’t help but give the chef a thumbs up. It’s even more appealing than what I’ve had in Japan. The texture of the tuna is soft, and it pairs perfectly with the sauce. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lively, and the staff are incredibly friendly.

This Japanese restaurant is a hidden gem! The service is warm and attentive without being overbearing, making the whole dining experience relaxing and pleasant. What really stood out to me is the flavor—perfectly balanced and not overly sweet like many other Japanese places on the island. Every dish tastes fresh and authentic. Considering the price, the quality is outstanding—it feels like you’re getting far more than what you pay for. Definitely my go-to spot for...
