The worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I work as a bartender/waiter in one of the best restaurants in Vienna, Austria. The service and food that was presented to my family and I ruined the evening. Food/Kitchen I have never seen burnt ribs in my lie, these people tried to feed me charcoal. The waitress should have seen it and told the kitchen to fix it, why did she not control the food she is serving? My brother ordered a medium steak with garlic and butter but the steak was unflavored and did not come with the egg that was promised. He sent it back twice, the second time was way too undercooked. The sign of an inexperienced chef. When they brought my ribs back, they brought it back, they swapped the grilled vegetables with fried chips without any information. This was complete nonsense, it made the restaurant seem like a circus and the kitchen, where they keep their clowns. They substituted the lettuce in my brother's burger with bloody coleslaw without informing us? What if he was allergic? God save this kitchen.
Service Our poor waitress was severely inexperienced. Did not ask if my brother wanted naan with his curry (WHICH WAS NOT INCLUDED, which we found out after it was served). She did not ask for drink refills when glasses were empty, our gin drink was supposed to have orange juice in it but there was none. Service is not only about serving drinks and stuff. It is about being attentive and caring to your GUESTS not CUSTOMERS.
Atmosphere Pretty standard except when they turned of ALL the lights and KEPT them off to sing happy birthday. They played a birthday song that left me with a headache considering how unhealthily loud it was. They really showed us how strong their speakers were until my dad complained because he was getting a headache too
All in all, this was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant and unless something changes, they will be closed down and the people of Gaborone would be better off without this...
Read moreThe atmosphere at the restaurant is quite pleasant, and the overall service meets expectations. The staff were attentive and the environment was comfortable, contributing to an enjoyable dining experience. However, the main factor that influenced my final rating is an issue that occurred after I left the restaurant. When I arrived home and unpacked my takeaway, I was disappointed to find that the dessert I ordered was completely spoiled. The foul odor was the first indicator that something was wrong, and it only took a moment to realize that the dessert was rotten. This was especially concerning, as I couldn't understand how the staff or kitchen staff could have missed such a clear sign of decay while packaging the food.
In light of this experience, I strongly suggest that they implement stricter checks for food quality, particularly for takeaway orders. It’s crucial that every item, especially perishable items like desserts, be carefully inspected before being served or sent out. Not only would this prevent potential health risks like food poisoning, but it would also ensure a higher standard of care in food handling. It's unfortunate because the other aspects of the meal and the restaurant experience were enjoyable, but the spoiled dessert left a lasting...
Read moreFirstly, there is nothing to do with Bukhara cuisine in this restaurant with exception of namesake Daal Bhukara. Service persona and atmosphere is great but food is less then average. This is my third visit and graph seems to have fallen further on the taste or make of food. Just yesterday we ordered Lamb chops, Malai Kofta, Veg Pide, Paneer Sizzler and Naan bread.
Lamb Chops : Were served cold and meat beside tasting a bit sweeter also seemed not fresh. Disappointed (0/5) Malai Kofta: Overly Rich with cream and cashew paste neutralizing the spices I guess if there were any and were not making any sense. Thankfully Naan bread was good and we could just dip and eat. (1/5) Veg Pide: this was good and the best of all other dishes (3/5) Paneer Sizzler: Didn't come to table sizzling. Sweetly spiced, Paneer was crumbly and again and the dish didn't cut to call...
