Dishonest boss. Overcharged.

So I was supposed to be billed 57 reals but the boss charged me 73.70 reals. After paying, I realised that I was overcharged. When I confronted the boss he explained that the juice I ordered was 15 reals (even though on the menu it clearly stated that it is 10 reals). But even if I add the price of the juice it still didn't add up. Then he explained that there's a service charge of 10%. No matter how I added the numbers, it still didn't equate to 73.70 reals.

The next day I went back and ate again. This time, the employee charged me correctly, based on the prices in the menu. Without any service charge. That's when I know I was overcharged the...

Absolutely phenomenal food, maybe some of the best shawarma I’ve ever had. The hummus is indeed incredible and Alicia, the sweet owner and chef of much of the food is a true delight. We became quick friends and she pointed out some of her other handmade items that were available for us to enjoy! The mint lemonade is similarly incredible and we loved our Kibe and shawarma. Must recommend the baklava on top of that because it’s some of the best I’ve ever had. Genuinely blown away but how wonderful and delicious the food and atmosphere where I actually can’t hype this place up enough. 10/10...

For late night, cheap (but not really) eats on Rua Augusta this is the place to go.

The matriarch who I see every time I come is an older Syrian Brazillian who is just delightful to talk with. I enjoy talking with some of the kitchen staff who are more recent arrivals from Syria about their thoughts on Brazilian society, the state of affairs in Syria, and if they think the war will end anytime soon.
