I happened across Peppino Cantina and the exterior was so adorable and quaint, I was instantly reminded of the lovely eateries in Italy and felt that I had to try for myself. I was not disappointed. The executive weekday lunch set provides an appetiser of salad greens, mini burrata and refreshing zucchini bruschetta. It is good value, included free with any main you order for weekday lunch. I got myself the cavatelli with grandma’s meatballs and a cappuccino. Unfortunately the cavatelli was slightly too rich for me as it has buffalo mozzarella, but I enjoyed the taste of home and nothing is contrived or overly seasoned. Next time, I will opt to try the lasagna instead. The cappuccino was the perfect caffeine hit and came with a rich melty orange chocolate to complete the coffee’s profile.
