My wife stayed at the Gran Estanconfor Itaim for 3 weeks on business in Sao Paulo. I went down to visit her and stayed there for nine days during the middle of her stay for a visit. It was a very delightful place to stay. My wife had a nice one bedroom apartment. It had a little kitchen and dining area plus an office/TV area and the bedroom was in a separate area. It was comfortable size for her three 3 week stay. Better than staying in a one bedroom hotel room for three weeks. There was a safe in the room for valuables and the only issue that made us feel a bit uncomfortable was no peep hole in door to see who was at the door and no dead bolt and secondary chain lock on the door. There was a small business center in the hotel but it didn’t have a printer that made it an inconvenient trying to get something printed like boarding passes and etc. The hotel had wireless that worked well when it was working. The gym was good and had enough cardio equipment and weights to stay fit for a couple weeks. Also had a heated lap pool, There were a lot of great places to shop and restaurants to eat in within walking distance The staff was very polite and helpful. Communicating with the front desk staff and general manager was easy because at least 1 person at the front desk spoke English and the general manager was fluent in English. The restaurant was good and had great service. We ate breakfast there every day and a couple dinners in the evening. It was not fancy but was not bad. The breakfast included plenty of scramble eggs, fresh fruit and juices and lots of breads jams and meats and cheeses. We had burgers and fries and club sandwiches in the restaurant in the evening that were very good also they had room service and all which was reasonability priced. There is a nice grocery store right around the corner a municipal park within walking distance. If ever in Sao Paulo would...
Read moreI stayed here for 2 weeks while working in Sao Paolo. I had a very nivce but small 1 bedroom apartment. But it was the perfect size for me. There is a very small bedroom, mine was a corner unit and had a walk in closet, also 2 balconies, and a study and living area with kitchenette. The staff is great and generally there is at least 1 person at the front desk that can speak or understand English or Spanish. The breakfast was includeed in mine and though it got a little old after 2 weeks because it is the same every day, It was ver good with eggs, fresh fruit and jusices and lots of breads jams and meats and cheeses. There is a nice grocery store right around the corner a municipal park within walking distance. They also have a small business center and a nice heated lap pool and small gym. It is also near tons of great shopping and restaurants, of note is Butcher's Market, which has great burgeres and a Lebanese place a few blocks away that I can't rememebre the name of but has great food and cheap caperenas!!! I definitely would stay here again, it also has a great cleaning staff...
Read moreI stayed at the Gran Estanconfor Itaim for 3 weeks on a business trip. The location is ideal, right in the middle of a thriving affluent neighborhood with tons of bars, restaurants and stores, including supermarkets, nearby. Free breakfast was part of the package, and it is a pretty good one. In addition to a vast spread of different types of breads and cakes, there are scrambled eggs, sausages, fresh fruit. And the staff will make you a fresh juice or omelette. Room was nice, although fairly compact. Very useful for someone there for a long stay is that they offer free use of laundry machines downstairs. Fitness center is a bit basic. One of the two treadmills was broken a substantial period of time...
