NB Steak JK — Restaurant in Região Imediata de São Paulo

I had high expectations to visit NB Steak because of the special meat they offer called NB Steak.

But I realized that the NB Steak is basically the same as “shoulder” in other steakhouses.

The service from the waiters was very good. The caprese salad as a starter was nice. The cheese bread was cold, and the polenta was not good for us.

We asked the waiter for the menu of side dishes that we had included, and also the drinks menu. He only brought the alcoholic drinks menu. When we said we wanted the non-alcoholic drinks menu, he just started saying the options without showing any prices.

I think it is extremely rude to ask customers to order something without knowing the price.

About the side dishes menu, the waiter simply said there was no menu and left, without giving us any information. We found this unacceptable.

About the famous NB Steak, it came totally overcooked. We went at the end of lunch time, the restaurant was almost empty, and even so, nobody asked us how we wanted the meat cooked. All the NB Steak we tried was very well-done and dry.

Honestly, I did not like the NB Steak you offer, especially because nobody asked our preference. In the end, they even brought a piece that was more overcooked, almost dry.

For the price you charge, at least you should ask the customers how they want the meat cooked.

The only thing I really liked was the grilled heart of palm with caper sauce, which was delicious.

Because of the high price and the poor quality of the meat, I will never come back and I don’t recommend this place if you are looking for a good steakhouse experience. They charge a lot, but the meat is...

The ambiance in the big restaurant is not very cosy. When it is full of guests it is very loud so you hardly can understand the words of your table mates. The dinning itself is almost stressfull. The waiters want to serve the different kind of meats very quickly. Of course you can say stop for a moment but the next waiter is coming within a short time to serve the next meat. The different meast were not all of the best quality or well prepared. The sidedishes are very rare. The selection of wines is quite good with a huge variety. There are many other good Churrascarias in the town where you can put the flags or kind of this on the table so the waiters know if they can serve more meat of if you want to do a breake. Also they have buffets with a lot of sidedishes you can get. They are not as stressed as that one was. It seemed they wanted to get the table very quick ready for the next guests. This was a good place to be. There you have a few types of salad to choose from and the portions were medium to small (just to prepare you for the main course). You can ask for any salad anytime and whenever you fell like to. Then different cuts of meat are presented to you randomly by the waiters they have (not all at once, of course) but you can ask for any cut in their menu any time. They have some bottles of wine there but only the well-known beers from the brazillian market (which disapointed me) and they have the usual sodas and juices too. They serve your table, right from the beginning, with toasts, pão-de-queijo, fried polenta sticks and other usual steakhouses stuff. The ambiance has dimmed lights and the aspect was appealing and cozy - it was clean and neat too. They have, besides the meat, roasted heart of palm tree, cooked mushrooms and other portions of side plates being served by their waitress.
