The restaurant is overpriced and overrated. The reviews on here and the pictures do not reflect the quality. Nice atmosphere, but average service and food. I had a fish soup and shrimps in wine sauce. The fish soup was not good. No taste, too salty.... Very, very poor quality. The shrimps were nice and I'd order them again. The service was average. They just didn't put any effort to make my experience nice. Waited 10 minutes to get a menu. They only gave me a menu for food so I had to wait and ask for the drinks menu too. I had a glass of wine and usually I'd expect the waiter to offer water or to at least bring tap water complimentary. I had to ask for water after 10-15 mins of receiving the wine as the waiter disappeared. Nobody asked me if I liked the wine after tasting it. Nobody came to ask how was my food and if I needed anything. I got served, paid my bill and that's it. Sorry, but this is unacceptable for a place that pretends to be higher end.... And charges as one!!!

Overall there are plenty of better places in Sofia and this one is just overrated, because it appears to be a posh place I suppose, but it really isn't. Not sure why and who gives this such high reviews. This really isn't a high end food or service..... It is a rip off that needs to learn what high standards mean.

I'm giving 2* because of the high prices and the expectations one creates with the website and photos. I would have given higher score if this was the food served in a cheap place, but for the level they set, its...

We started with the beef carpaccio, unfortunately, but more on that later. The Duck Magret was tasty, if a little on the tough side--I certainly couldn't have done better with the same raw ingredients. The fresh pasta with cheese sauce was perfect, as were the asparagus and the fried potatoes. These three dishes, the least expensive on the menu, were my favorites. Risotto was also good, and the desserts (lemon tart and chocolate tart) made a great finish. But the carpaccio (our starter) arrived at the table on a plate straight from the dishwasher: it was hot to the touch. I pointed this out to our waiter, and he said, 'Ah, the plate is hot because the meat is frozen, and it should thaw on the plate.' Which is of course not true. You can't expect to build a reputation as a restaurant for 'people who know', and then insult them when they actually demonstrate that they do know. Visit...

Found this restaurant by accident but it looked fancy from the outside so I went in. I wasn’t disappointed. Service was really quick - I had piping hot food in front of me within a few minutes of ordering it. The polenta with mushrooms was divine - paired with the Bulgarian Sauvignon Blanc (a must have). The risotto with asparagus was nice too. Finished off with a crème brûlée - which was incredible and one of the best I have had in a long time. Must compliment the wine again - it’s very high quality. Price may be slightly expensive by local standards but I’m from London and at these prices with this quality of food I was very very happy!

I visited Capo Mediterranean Restaurant in Sofia for dinner recently. The overall experience was middling; the service fell somewhere between good and bad. Unfortunately, our waiter did try to pressure us into leaving a tip, which left a sour note. Regarding the food, it was decent but not outstanding. Considering the price, I expected a higher quality. While it wasn't bad, it certainly could have been better. Regrettably, I don't think I'll be returning to Capo in the future. In my opinion, the current rating for this restaurant might be a bit too generous.

Amazing restaurant with Mediterranean based type of dishes. Friendly personnel with good English skills. Good selection of wines and amazing desserts. We ate the octopus, red caviar and foie gras (goose liver pate) , all of them very well made, as we know how to do them because we are from a Mediterranean country. The prices are high as we are talking about a high-end restaurant. If you are willing to spend some money on a good Mediterranean meal, you should definitely give it a try...
