TM Turkish Restaurant (Турски ресторант) — Restaurant in Sofia City

I cannot say we had an unpleasant time in there, actually the service and the atmosphere was good, we were at balcony which is closed and warm this is a good thing but the ventilation was poor and after we get out there I smell cigarette too much, well one of my friends were smoking but with a moderate air conditioning I shouldn’t smell this much so consider that if you reserve the balcony.

The foods, well I am Turkish and I was craving Turkish food a lot and we decided to try TM since it has good reviews but unfortunately I would not prefer this place to introduce Turkish cuisine to a foreign friend of mine. Because there is no relation at all, we tried Iskender which is a kind of Doner and it should has a lot melted butter and good tomato sauce, but their sauce was like ketchup and they didn’t bring any melted butter at all, also the dish was cold and meat was tough and we eat it because we weren’t eating the whole day, we wanted to to try many things in the menu but we didn’t because of the Iskender.. Some of the Mezes was good but not as good as 4.6star restaurant. Portions were also small. And as desert we tried Sutlac which is important to me and it was such a disappointment.

Overall the dishes were a moderate for us but the atmosphere and service was not bad and since we drank Raki so we had some good time in there till we left. I don’t think the price was matching with the...

Only if you're not familiar with turkish cuisine, you can tell that this restaurant is a turkish restaurant. I mean, only the name is correct, but not the food. Nothing special as specialities, even can tell that the food is worse compared to the other turkish restaurants in Sofia. The food is overpriced and in small portions. We ordered 350ml. bottle Yeni Rakı and they brought it in a small suspicious jug...weren't sure it was Yeni Rakı. Then we wanted to try Hunkar Begendi, and the waitress brought us Ali Nazik. When I tried to explain to her that this was not Hunkar Begendi, she told me that they do Hunkar Begendi in this way. 😂 And even insisted that it is Hunkar Begendi. Baby girl, please don't tell the culinary specialist what it is! 😂 Then, we tried the Katmer - same low quality at overpriced value. Without the crispy crust and with strange burnt vegetable oil taste. I've visited the place 2 years ago, and since then, there has been no improvement... even the quality is down. Absolutely incredible experience at T & M Restaurant in Sofia! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The appetizers were packed with flavor and beautifully presented, each bite left us wanting more.
