Phi Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Sofia City

Didn’t like the cocktails.

Mushroom martini is so so so bad that cannot imagine any human being liking that diabolical mix - I mean butter and mushroom in a cocktail might sounds interesting but stay away, it’s unimaginably bad.

Mojito colada tastes like pineapple fizzy soda - it’s fine but for 15lv a letdown. Didn’t have any aspects of neither a mojito nor a colada.

Lick me is good albeit confusing as in the menu it states that it is a non alcoholic cocktail but the bartender said it’s with tequila so a bit confusing but nonetheless really good and the cup is really fun.

Sozopolis 3.0 is tasty as well but I didn’t taste the alcohol in there - tasted like an expensive juice.

Balkan negroni is straight up disgusting - it’s fighting with the mushroom martini for which drink was worse.

And Ice ice baby is pure deliciousness and the fun touch is that you can eat the cup.

Beers are so so so so so so bad that I can’t even express how disgusting they were. Cohones pale ale is maybe the worst beer I’ve ever tasted and for 9lv you’d at least expect a normal tasting beer. Imagine a watered down water, well that’s how the beer tasted. July morning, again awful and 7lv for a small can is a robbery at its finest. The vibe was nice though and the paintings were a nice touch.

Bathroom is really filthy and they don’t have separate ones for men and women.

Overall I would not come again tbh. It’s really overpriced for okay cocktails (which were either a hit or a huge miss) and...

Can come with few friends, place is cozy and interior suggests a small group (5-7) people comfortably sharing stories over intriguing drinks introduced and served by local mixologists, who are very passionate about what they do. It was unfortunate to see a bar of such level, almost empty, but I am very glad I had the chance to meet and speak with the mixologist at the bar and his gal, who were gracious enough to share stories and have a good conversation about everything with me. The drinks are going through a tough process of creation and experimentation, combined with years of practice and skill accumulation. Many levels to them and depth of perception. I always have the best time at Phi Bar in Sofia! Every drink I have there is neither planned nor expected. The staff has obviously made everything: from the walls to the cocktails, to the smiles on every customer’s face with lots of joy and attention to detail.

The bartenders are always joyful and share their honest experience and opinions about the drinks, as professionals but also as people who like to taste the good things life.

Passion and eclectic tastes are a must for Phi Bar, and of course:

if you somehow can’t grab anything from their perfectly crafted menu, they will create something specifically and exclusively for you.
