A Home Away from Home for Pure Veg Indian Food!
From the moment we stepped into Modi Ji Restaurant, we felt at home. The warm hospitality and comforting ambiance made us feel welcome instantly. Finding pure vegetarian, vegan, and Jain food in Siem Reap isn’t easy, but this place was an absolute lifesaver.
We originally carried food packets with us, thinking we'd struggle to find good vegetarian options. But after trying Modi Ji on our first night, we couldn’t resist coming back everyday, we ended up dining here all five nights of our stay! The food was simply amazing, we tried the Gujarati Thali, Sev Tameta, Khichdi Kadhi, and Dal Bati, and every dish was fresh, flavorful, and truly felt like home-cooked comfort food.
The location is super convenient, just near Pub Street, making it a perfect stop after a day of exploring. A special thanks to Laxman Bhai, the manager, whose hospitality made our visits even more enjoyable. And a heartfelt thanks to the owner, whose goal is not to earn hefty profits but to genuinely help people struggling to find vegetarian food in Siem Reap—that kind of kindness is rare.
The little touches made all the difference too—we were pleasantly surprised with free water and laddus, which added to the homely experience.
