My wife and I decided to give this place a try. It was a snowy blustery night in Canmore. The restaurant was warm and welcoming as were the staff. The restaurant was busy and I knew this was a good sign. We were greeted and seated promptly even though we were early. We started with cocktails. I had the cherry mojito which was flavorful. It is sweet so not for everyone. My wife had a type of tea. I forgot the name but she enjoyed it very much. We ordered the spareribs and the pork schnitzel plus an Asian salad to share along with our meal. The food arrived quickly. First let me say that I eat with my eyes first. The presentation of these dishes was eye catching and very thought out. Impressive. The salad was delightful with a sweet Asian dressing. Very nice assortment of greens and veg plus lots of crunchy textures. My spareribs were Korean inspired. I was not disappointed. Literally fall of the bone & generous amount of sweet n savory meat that I could cut with a fork accompanied by a fresh assortment of fresh grilled vegetables and crispy potato wedges I found hidden under the spareribs. It was truly a nice surprise. My wife’s schnitzel was incredible! Accompanied by a nice mix of grilled vegetables. The breaded pork was crispy and juicy. I had a bite and was amazed how tender the pork was and not dry at all. The tomato based sauce was incredibly flavorful and only served to enhance the crispy juiciness of the pork. It’s like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. My wife never finishes her meals and she completely cleaned off her plate down to the last morsel. She even finished before me which never happens. I would be happy to steer anyone looking for an amazing dining experience to The Grand Kitchen & Bar. Hands down some of the most flavorful dishes we’ve experienced in Canmore. Two thumbs up! Ps: we highly encourage anyone to try...

Where to start? It was a quieter Sunday evening, but the attention to detail, fantastic service, and warm restaurant was amazing. This location is located directly inside the Spa Resorts on the same property and you definitely want to make a quick walk indoors to get to it! We stayed at the Paradise Inn and it even had a 10% off coupon (which we forgot since we had such a good time honestly).

We had three dishes that night, Tuna Poke Stack with toast sticks, Root Beer Glazed Ribs, and a smoked Cesar salad.

The Tuna Poke Stack had a nice smokey chipotle mayo, with tons of flavour and freshness. They even accommodated our request to swap out the cilantro since my fiancee has the soap gene for it! I probably could have eaten three plates of it by itself.

The Root Beer Ribs were also a curiosity that needed to be tried. It was pleasantly not too sweet and the ribs were just the right tenderness. Still together but lusciously off the bones. Perfect seasoning and sweetness throughout the dish. It also came with some of the BEST roast potatoes we've had in a long time as well as a coleslaw to cleanse the palette.

The last dish we had was the smoked Cesar salad. For me I didn't like it as much as my fiancee, but I definitely feel like it was unique. I appreciate that there wasn't the butt of the lettuce and it was cleaned and dried appropriately. The homemade croutons and homemade salad dressing were scrumptious. The leaves did have a mildly smokey flavour which was interesting.

Fantastic...

The Grand, certainly living up to such a name, most importantly I believe it is the atmosphere that is provided by an establishment that embellishes what a top quality restaurant ought to be. Contending with another top quality restaurant I've rated elsewhere, this restaurant provided me with a very exceptional evening. Greeted and served by a phenomenal server, Mara I believed set a benchmark hostesses, waitresses and servers the like should strive to achieve. Was genuinely attentive, caring and friendly. You can sense a true desire to serve from a hostess and it was evident from the beginning this was her. Along with a very respectful kind eager to serve manager, Bu-ton I believe was essential in creating such a fine dining experience. The meal was very very satisfying, an 8 Oz. NY Striploin served with baby potatoes, veggies and gravy was very on point. Meal prep and delivery like none other. Finished with a crepe on the house is only setting the bar higher for established restaurants. In my opinion you're not gonna get much better than The Grand Kitchen + Bar. I truly appreciate what you have provided me and my wife with tonight. Will recommend everywhere I go. To top it all off....it wasn't a meal for 2 over 100$. Who can top that? This is real world dining at its best. I am ever grateful for you...
