The wait wasn't too bad when we arrived, staff was very adamant that your entire party needs to be present before they allow you to occupy a table, which is weird because they don't offer a washroom. We stood in line for almost 30 minutes (all 4 of us) for a table of 4, but one of our party had to use the washroom by the time we were being let in, and all the upstairs washrooms are locked, so you have to go downstairs in the mall complex to use their public washroom, which requires an elevator or 3 flights of stairs, it takes time to get there and back.
By the time our table was ready our 4th member was still running back upstairs from the washroom, and they asked us multiple times, is the 4th coming? Is there a 4th coming? I'm not sure why it mattered, either way there was only 1 table available and no one else in line behind us. They would've needed to give that table to us being a party of 3 or more anyways, as they have no tables to accommodate 3 people specifically. They need to pay better attention if this is a concern when booking people in.
The food itself was good, everything we expected in a ramen restaurant, nothing more nothing less, portions are pretty generous with the ramen bowls, the rice bowls are very small and should be advertised as more of a side dish or appetizer, not a main dish. There is a large size option on the menu but it's not very clear how big either of them are. We'll give it another try when we're in...
Read moreWe visited for the first time on a Wednesday afternoon. It was recommended to us by a lady who walks her dog and thinks we are lost, but we are just checking ramen places nearby. It was on the 2nd floor of the mall. There was a bit of a line-up when we came. Good thing we are not yet that hungry. They have small space, so it is understandable for them to have a line outside. I can say our wait time was around 15mins with 8 persons ahead of us. The service is very fast, like just 5mins and all our orders are on our table. We ordered Chashu Pork Bowl, Black Arashi Ramen, Black Tantanmen, and Seaweed Salad. As I am writing this, I am craving so much for the Chashu Pork Bowl. The pork is so tender that it just melts in your mouth. It has a very creamy texture and is very flavorful, I really want it right now. The ramens that we ordered do not have any big difference in flavor, i guess. But it is one of the best ramen that I have tried here in Alberta. Very rich, perfect for warming up after a cold hike on Lake Louise. Really good value for money! The Seaweed Salad is just the same as any other Seaweed Salad that I have tried, but that's fine. It is what I expected. Can't wait to come back to banff and eat here again! Even if I have to wait longer than 15mins, I would still wait as your food and service are really good. I just wish that you could expand or find a bigger place so more people can try your food. Thank you for...
