barBURRITO — Restaurant in Barrie

I personally order from Barburrito on a regular basis. I'm always satisfied with the customer service and portions every time. I have brought my friends, dates and peers in and they agree that the ingredients are always fresh!

I was organizing a workshop at Georgian College, I found out that the on campus catering order could not go through because it was over reading week. I was told I had to go and find someone else to cater my event. I was super stressed, I was expecting a taco bar and was afraid that the cost from someone else would be out of my budget.

I went into BarBurrito with no intention of ordering but just see my options available for the date I needed the food for. I had been helped by someone on their afternoon shift (I don't know her name but she was super nice!) and she had me write a note to Tiffany- the manager of the store. I was able to get a response within 2-3 days from her and the process was so easy.

I have never held an event let alone order a catering platter. We decided on a taco bar, it came up to around $12.00 with 2 tacos with whatever they wanted and a side of chips with salsa. We ordered for around 35 people.

The day of the event came around and Tiffany was prompt with getting the set up ready, providing plates, cutlery and napkins and even a little extra of the fixins. She was incredibly professional and even followed up with me that night to see how things went and how people liked the food.

Tiffany and her team went above and beyond in customer service. I received many compliments on the food, so many people didn't even know BarBurrito was so close by or even existed. I ordered from this restaurant through UberEats for the first time for my birthday (I'm a cancer patient and my treatments had me craving Mexican food, so we were having a Mexican Fiesta party to celebrate). My family consists of 10 people (including children) so I ordered 2 Family Fiesta Kits. When the food arrived, we only received 1 Family Fiesta Kit. We called the restaurant to let them know what happened, that it was my birthday party, the circumstances, and that now we did not have enough food to feed everyone. The employee (who was very nice and felt very bad for what happened) expressed her apologies for the mix up and said she would speak with her supervisor about what they could do. When she called us back, she said they could make the food and have Uber bring it over. That would have taken another hour, by which time we would already have had cake and the children would need to start getting ready for bed. It would be too late. She also said that we would still need to pay for the food (and the UberEats delivery costs associated with the delivery). She said that her supervisor advised that was all they could offer. Understandable, but I would think they could have atleast offered us a deal, or something, for our next order to make up for their mistake. But the employee said that her supervisor was only offering to replace the missing order and that we would still be required to pay full price for everything. I just think they could have handled that situation better if they wanted a repeat customer. I just ordered delivery from here and it took over an hour, the food was absolutely disgusting! The tomatoes and onions on the taco were massive and overpowered the meat and cheese! Cheese was barely even noticeable there was so little and I asked for my sauces to be on the side and my tacos were smothered in it making it unedible the taste was horrible I first taco I grabbed the meet fell out of it. It was a mess. Then there was the extreme fries I ordered! All I got was soggy greasy fries and disgusting flavoured ground beef nothing else like what kind of loaded fries is that! No cheese sauce nothing just beef and fries it was grosse!!!! The best thing about my ordered was the bottle of coke and I take Coca Cola for that! 5 stars to them for the bottled pop. Get your stuff together bar burrito you used to be my fav spot! I will not be eating here ever...
