Hakka Zone — Restaurant in Barrie

One word..INCREDIBLE!! I have eaten Hakka food for over 30 yrs in some of the best hakka restaurants in Scarborough, Markham, Mississauga and Brampton. Barrie finally has a top notch Hakka restaurant! My wife (the vegetarian one) and I had the pleasure of ordering take out this afternoon. We found out from the owners that they only opened a week ago and just yesterday got their store front sign. Ordered shrimp pakoras, chili chicken, chili tofu with mixed vegetables, chili paneer, manchurian vegetable fried rice and their deluxe manchurian fried rice (chicken, beef and shrimp) The deluxe manchurian fried rice was loaded with chicken, shrimp and huge pieces of beef. So much flavour! The shrimp pakoras outstanding! The chili chicken was on point. I asked for extra spicy and it could have used some more chilies and maybe a bit more gravy. With an exceptional vegetarian menu option, the tofu/vegetable manchurian and the paneer manchurian as our first order here, we were blown away by the flavors! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hakka Zone Restaurant in Barrie, and I must say it was an incredible experience. This restaurant serves some of the best Indo-Chinese cuisine that I have ever tasted!

The ambiance of the restaurant is very welcoming and cozy, with attentive staff who made us feel right at home. The menu is extensive, and each dish is prepared with care and attention to detail. The flavors were absolutely amazing, with just the right balance of spices and seasonings.

I highly recommend the Momos (both chicken and vegetarian) and the veg dry Manchurian , as they were both incredibly delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable, making this restaurant an excellent value for money.

This place is not worth anyones time or money. They are rude and REFUSE to fix their own mistakes, a massive waste of my money as I am now having to go somewhere else to get the food I want because they will not fix the situation or give me a refund on their error. I ordered a beef noodle dish, which was repeated to me upon ordering, and was given a rice dish, I made it known to the employee in the store before even leaving and asked them to fix it as they must have misunderstood and made the wrong item. They refused to fix their error for making me the wrong dish and when I asked for a refund they also refused that. I just paid $40 for food that I wont be eating because they gave me rice instead of the noodles and are refusing to fix their error. It is actually insane, how do you expect to keep customers when you dont honour or fix YOUR OWN mistakes.
