Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Barrie

We went to this location for lunch on a Sunday. Expected it to be noisy, and it definitely was (large table beside us celebrating a child’s birthday) Our adult meals were fine, unfortunately the children’s meals (chicken fingers and fries), were much too spicy (I assume this is due to the fact that spicy items are put in the same deep fryer as children’s items) and everything was either put in the deep fryer for way too long or they just really needed to change their fryer oil. No discount or replacements were offered when we let our server know the children weren’t able to eat their meals. The raw veggies we ordered on the side, were not very appealing either. We also ordered a bunch of items to share, but were not given any side plates, extra napkins or ketchup for anything. By the time we were able to flag someone down, we were almost done our meals. We also asked for wet wipes, as our wings were obviously messy, but never received them. Our young server was very friendly, though I wouldn’t call her bottom showing from under her short skirt “family friendly”. Who knows, maybe she was meant to work the bar side and things changed when she arrived to work. Though if you’re on the conservative side, it may have made you pretty uncomfortable. The two ladies who I assume were supervisors/managers walking around, didn’t seem to be very helpful at all. It was one of them who brought our meals out and neglected to notice we needed side plates for our shared platters, ketchup for fries and extra napkins for kids/wings. Today was my first time coming in and from the very start service was horrible. Nobody was at the entrance to guide us to our table and since my friend was waiting we went straight in and it took more than ten mins later for the waiter to acknowledge we were there and asked for our drinks and delayed like 5 mins or so. It definitely took like 30 minutes for them to come back and ask what we wanted to order and we waited 45 mins for our food. Not to mention that my friend had two kids and i had one but I was accompanied by my mother. We finally got our food and it was 100% not worth the wait and the troubles of waiting with 3 hangry toddlers. We waited about 20 mins for our waitress to come and check us out but she was nowhere to be seen. I will point out that there was a waitress with a green sweater who was serving he table u front of us and did not even bother asking if we needed any help even when we made it obvious we needed help. Which is why i only tipped 2 dollars which is more than they deserved. We had to ask someone to get us our check and when it came, my friend had to pay for one kids meal because THEY ONLY EAT FREE IF ONE ADULT BUYS A MEAL. We paid separate bills and the lady decided to put the cherry on top by telling her that because it separate bills she has to pay for one although the sign did not say that!!!. Thankyou Boston Pizza for the worst dinner experience in my life. It started with the overly loud punk music they had screaming in the family dining room. My 4 year old had her ears covered the entire time. I expect that kind of music playing in the kitchen. Not the dining room. Our server forgot to put our order in, as 2 tables that came in 30 mins after us had their food. We waited over an hour and a half. When our food finally arrived my dad's came out first, he was eating the majority of his food until anyone else's came out. My dads not someone who complains, he asked for mixed vegetables and he got a plate full of Broccoli nothing else, they were hard no spice or butter to go with it. Finally when I got mine, it was burnt . My step moms steak was raw and burnt on the outside, they put it over the salad she had, which made it soggy. My daughters rice was in the microwave way too long that she couldn't eat it. The server never came around to us, we had to ask someone else for our drinks that never came. I wish it stopped there, when the bill came I gave my club card, she comes back saying it's expired and gave me a new one. Without explaining that I had to pay for it.
