Wow, this place is awesome. Amazing selection of food, including fresh made pizza, hot sandwiches, lasagna, etc. They also have an incredible dessert section with treats that are out of this world. I had the chicken sandwich, and holy geez, is that thing good. Now that Mondos is gone, this is very clearly the best in the city. Prices aren't too bad either. The sandwich is much, much better than California Sandwiches, and it costs less too. Parking can be kind of a nightmare depending on the time of day. A one-off issue I ran into was a rude boomer customer. Apparently, I was in his way of walking while I was looking at the hot food options. So aside from a rude customer, which is no fault of the establishment, this place is best in class. I'll be coming here every chance I get.

This review is specifically about the gift baskets sold at this store. Beware of the container. If you bought or received a gift with a green bowl with a brown border, DO NOT USE it for food as it may poison food!!!!. It has a warning on the bottom. This is deceiving as this is a food store, it comes filled with food and looks like a bowl you can use for pasta. Also, some of the items included in the basket are close to the expiration dates. Last year, my mom bought us a basket from here and a jar of sauce had mold on it. This year the Taralli expire Jan 1 2025. We tried them and they tasted stale. Some chocolates expire Dec 31, 2024. Really unacceptable to include these items in a gift basket.

I found some of these custard tarts add this Bakery and I will tell you this as I have driven all the way to Old Montreal to a bakery there and they sell 400 to 500 a day . These custard tarts buy Fuda Italian Bakery are just as good and just as fresh as the place in Quebec... I drove to Barry to visit family and I stumbled upon them when just looking for a motel and I am so happy beyond words. Thank you to the girl that answered my phone call and describe them to me and we had a chit chat and that was very thankful. When I come back to visit family again I will be popping in to buy more...

This is the second time my family has tried to come in and have a nice lunch, and received very rude service from the same lady at the cash.

The first time we attempted to have lunch was June 2017. As first timers, we naturally asked how it all worked. Where do we order? Do we just take a seat and a server comes? Are there specials? The lady behind the counter was extremely rude, to the point where we were so embarrassed and upset by the way we were treated that we just walked out.

The second time was yesterday....July 5th 2018. We decided we would try this place out again hoping the service would be better. As you walk in the front doors you’ll see that they advertise for another restaurant down on Dunlop street....(we didn’t see that it was for another restaurant, we thought it was italian bakery’s special offers). When my partner and I asked the lady at the cash “what apps were half price today” she looked at us like we were stupid and proceeded to use the tone that we were as well. We just said sorry... I guess we are mistaken we saw a sign out from that said half price apps on Thursdays. She said “ya well that’s not here!” and turned around and walked away. All this happening in front of other customers, my partner, my 11 month old son and later to find out, a manager! He was sitting in the corner having a coffee and did nothing. I have never been so embarrassed and couldn’t believe someone like this worked in front line customer service.

I was going to just leave like the first time but then went back in to ask who the manager was. This has now happened 2 times and I don’t think it’s right that this employee can treat people like this.

I approached a very nice young lady at the pizza area, I ended up in tears telling her what happened because I was so upset and belittled....she then directed me to a manager on duty, who she was hoping would then direct me to the higher up to discuss the service I received. That’s when I realized he was sitting in the corner sipping his coffee essentially watching the whole thing happen and doing nothing about it. His name was Gord. The young lady suggested to Gord that I talk to the higher up and he said “no, they were having a bad day so don’t do that”. We both just stood there in silence at this point and he said “don’t worry I’ll talk to her”. He wasn’t very convincing nor empathetic the the situation at all so I don’t believe she was dealt with.

I don't believe anyone should spend there hard earned money in places like this. I work at Georgian College in direct contact with students, community and staff and would never in a million years dream of speaking to them the way I was spoke too.

I do not recommend anyone going here....you deserve to be treated with respect and that’s not what you’ll...

Barrie's hidden gem if you are visiting the area. Ample parking for visitors, you don't have to park in the front my of the location as it is always full. My son chose this place to have lunch; glad he suggested Italian.

Fuda is family owned and operated. You have your selection of doing some grocery shopping but the ur main concern should be the consumption of delicious food.

The location offers in house dining at no extra cost. Select from a variety of food items, such as pastas, lasagna (2 types during our visit) sandwiches with 2 options of toppings, meat balls, & pizza. I am sure they have a rotating menu but realistically they can stick to what was available and it wouldn't matter.

When you are done eating your main course you can re-enter for a choice of desserts such as pastries, cookies & Gelato! Before you check out grab yourself a fresh brewed coffee, espresso or cappuccino. Everything is reasonably priced.

Be advised your eyes are bigger than your stomach and before you know it your bill is quite high but worth every morsol. This may sound contradictory to my statement indicating how the menu is reasonably priced so let me break down our purchase for you.

My son & I ordered the following:

2 types of pizza slices - pepperoni / all dressed $5x2= $10

2 types of lasagna - meat & spinach ricotta $10x2= $20

4 Meatballs (superb btw) $3x4= $12

1 chicken Parm sandwich $10 1 veal sandwich $10

2 pastries 2x$4= $8 1 Gelato 1 scoop = $4 Total equated to under $100 with taxes

Ty Gov't of Canada

We did not eat everything if you were wondering. There was enough food to bring home for a second meal.

Life is as simple as you want it to be, Fuda comforts you with "home cooking" at a reasonable price. You won't find this quality of food at any fast food place.

Eat well & live a long prosperous life. Thank you Fuda for this opportunity of...

Fuda Bakery in Barrie, and I am absolutely delighted with their offerings. This bakery is a hidden gem that shouldn't be missed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and inviting aroma of freshly baked goods. The selection of pastries, bread, and cakes is simply incredible. Each item I tried was made with exceptional care and attention to detail. The croissants were buttery and flaky, while the bread had that perfect crust and soft interior. The variety of flavors and fillings in their pastries was impressive, and I loved trying their unique creations.

What sets Fuda Bakery apart is their commitment to using high-quality ingredients. You can taste the difference in every bite. The staff members are friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft. They are always ready to offer recommendations or answer any questions about their products.

The ambiance of the bakery is cozy and inviting, with a charming display of beautifully crafted baked goods. Whether you're picking up a treat for yourself or looking to impress guests at a special occasion, Fuda Bakery has you covered.

I highly recommend Fuda Bakery to anyone with a love for delectable pastries and bread. It's a must-visit spot in Barrie, and I can't wait to return to indulge in more of their...
