McDonald's — Restaurant in Barrie

I was treated poorly at this establishment by staff and managers. I was over charged on my bill when I only ordered a Big Mac combo and 1 happy meal. Once I finished paying I looked at my receipt while I was sitting down eating with my daughter when I realized they charged me for an extra happy meal. I respectfully walked over to the counter and explained the mistake that was made and I wanted a refund for the extra happy meal that was charged but the cashier was being rude just simply based on her tone. I decided not to waste my time with her and give her the attention she was seeking and I respectfully asked for the manager. The manager also didn’t speak to me kindly and simply didn’t take my word for it on what I explained the mistake was. They pinned it back on me saying I received all the meals but I was sitting there the entire time eating with my daughter so I’m not sure why I would lie.

The money isn’t even important to me but it’s the principle of it all. I was treated poorly in front of my daughters and others by the entire staff and they painted me as a liar. As soon as I realized this was becoming traumatic for my daughter I decided that it wasn’t even worth it and nobody was going to hear me out so I left.

I ordered $49 worth of food; a Big Mac meal a Quarter Pounder meal and 20 McNuggets. I ordered the quarter pounder with extra ketchup, no pickles. They put the extra ketchup on, removed the pickles and also removed the onions which I wanted left on... I selected 3 Sweet n Sour sauce for my 20 nuggets and received none. The restaurant was messy, the self-serve drink area was completely askew, pop spilled all over the counter, garbage totally full and overflowing on to the counter, no medium drink lids available in the dispenser; so I had to walk with my open pop back up to the front of the store and get someone's attention for a medium, the most common size, of lid for my pop. The employee literally exclaimed "What? There's no medium drink lids?" before handing me one and then didn't fill up the dispenser, or clean up the area. At least I got no ice in my pop like I requested but that's probably only because I filled it myself at the self serve fountain machine. The food was not fresh either. I genuinely will never visit this location again, total mess. I wasted $49 on what was supposed to be a treat for my Mom and I, but was actually not worth it at all. Next time I'll just go to a real restaurant location. I've had this type of poor experience at this location multiple times. Get...

Always a disappointment going to this location. Drive thru specifically! Everytime I get to the ordering screen/intercom they always end up taking 2-3 cars on the other lane before even acknowledging I am there. I sat there 10 minutes waiting for someone to come and take my order meanwhile the next lane is just get served car after car, and this has happened a handful of times.. Not to mention they don’t listen when you’re placing your order. I Ordered a simple nugget happy meal with an iced tea and sweet and sour. Get home to give it to my child to find coke in the cup and hot honey dipping sauce. Honestly, happy to see they have young teens working there and providing with an opportunity unlike most fast food chains these days, but they need to pay attention to the customers and actually listen to what they are ordering.
