Papa Joe's Pizza & Chicken — Restaurant in Barrie

I am down right disgusted, disturbed, and angry after contacting and speaking with EVIN, who, in my opinion is undeserving of the "manager" title. This half as*, rude, his way or no way, poor excuse for a manager was completely impossible to deal with. I tried very nicely and yes politely to explain that what we ordered we did not get. 10 honey & garlic/5 medium chicken wings, instead we recieved it backwards, 5 h&g, 10 medium. This was a problem because the wings were for my kids who could not eat the any type of heated wings so why in the world would I order 10 medium? Evin wasnt having it and completely dismissed me altogether. His offer take it or leave it and if you would like to reorder and pay again that we would have to wait another hour and a half because they were starting to get busy, by this time its 12:30 am, we just settled into our hotel room after a long 6 hr drive to Barrie. Evin's bottom line was this, since he was the one who took my order and therefore he was right, what he could do for us was resend out 10 h&g wings as long as I paid for them and another $4.50 for delivery. WHAT? Are you kidding me you cannot be serious I told him? I asked for the owners name and number and of course I was not given no info because he said it was confidential. To make matters worse at the end of this BS you could hear the employees in the background laughing. First time in Barrie, first dine out experience and this was how it went. I would NOT RECOMMENDTHAT ANYONE EVEN TRY AND ORDER FROM HERE, I wish we would have read the reviews before ordering. We paid $38.00 for nothing with a whole lot of horrific CUSTOMER SERVICE at a managers level from Evin. My neighbour told me that this was one of the best places for a quick pizza. Decided to try it out. Not exactly a good first impression Papa Joe.

So let’s start with the first concern, I was charged over $20 for a medium pizza Which I’m pretty sure I was taxed on cause she never gave me my receipt. (sneaky) There’s not supposed to be any tax on food at this point. The second problem, I was told that it would take 20-25 Minutes for it to be ready.

After paying for my walk in order, I sat out in my car for about 30 minutes and then went back inside the store and wait for additional 10 minutes watching her make other orders. She looked at me and told me it’s almost done, only seven minutes and it’ll be ready (me thinking it’s already running through the oven cooking). But in reality she didn’t even start making it yet.

Being observant as I usually am, Basically she took my order and my money but then continued to take online orders from skip the dishes/uber as they came in on her ordering pad system. I watched her prepare those orders and then served them as the drivers came in one after another to collect the orders.

I watched her make my pizza after the fact, and basically placing it in through the cooker after 45 minutes had already passed. So when she said 7 more minutes, the pizza wasn’t even made yet.

I confronted her about her actions and she flat out repeatedly continued trying to think fast on what to say to me so I don’t get upset more than I already was. She knew she was busted.

If you're looking for a place that serves great pizza and irresistibly crispy wings, this is your go-to spot. I recently ordered delivery and was thoroughly impressed.

The pizza was terrific. The crust had that perfect balance of crunch and chewiness, and the toppings were fresh and generously applied. The variety on the menu caters to all tastes. Toppings were generously added and the cheese was perfectly melted and gooey.

But what really took my meal to the next level were the wings. These weren't your average wings that most “pizza” places serve. They were delightfully crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They actually tasted fresh and the sauce seems to be homemade. Not the best pizza and wings I’ve had, but for the price, you get an excellent all-round meal!

The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for both casual outings and more special occasions. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that our meal was enjoyable from start to finish.
